After all, the calorie content of this vegetable is very low. Only 28 kcal per 100 g.

To prepare, take:

  • Pumpkin.
  • A few walnuts (10-15 pcs).
  • Honey or sugar (to taste)

Rinse the pumpkin. Clean out the pulp with seeds. Don't throw away pumpkin seeds. Lay them out on paper and place them on the windowsill. They will dry naturally, then they can be fried with salt and eaten. Or you can peel them and add them to salads or pastries. Cut the pumpkin into slices.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the pumpkin slices on it. If you do not eat honey, then at this stage, sprinkle the pumpkin with sugar to taste (approximately a teaspoon per slice). If you plan to eat pumpkin with honey, then you don’t need to do anything now (we eat and lose weight info). Honey should not be used in the cooking process. It will be much more useful if you pour them a ready-made pumpkin.

Send the baking sheet to the oven. Bake at 180 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. To tell if a vegetable is ready, simply pierce it with a fork. The finished pumpkin will become soft. However, do not rush to immediately get it out of the oven. The softer it is, the tastier it is. Get the nuts. Lay them out on a cutting board and crush with a rolling pin.

When the pumpkin is ready, take it out, put the slices on a plate. Pour over honey and sprinkle with nuts. Now you can eat.

Hello dear readers! Did you know that most effective mono-diets limit their followers to eating berries? But, as you know, in a Russian person, laws and rules are issued in order to circumvent them, and cases with diets are no exception. There is one berry that is allowed in both strict and not very strict weight correction systems - this is a pumpkin. You can cook it in different ways, and today I will tell you how to bake a pumpkin in the oven with slices.

You can make the pulp of such a berry both sweet and unsweetened, combine with spices and fruits - in any case, the finished dish is not only tasty, but fortified and low-calorie.

Dessert with honey and cinnamon

Those who decide to exclude sugar from their diet due to the high calorie content of glucose are successfully replacing this natural sweetener with the same natural delicacy - honey. I cook a baked sweet pumpkin, cut into slices, with honey: this makes the dessert dish not only juicy and sweet, but gives it a special flavor.

In addition, I sprinkle sweet slices with cinnamon, as I always loved “mother’s” yeast cinnamon buns, and when I went on a diet, I had to give up these childhood memories. To prepare honey pumpkin slices, I stock up on ingredients:

  • small pumpkin;
  • a couple of tablespoons of olive oil;
  • ground cinnamon;
  • liquid honey (if the honey is candied, then I first melt it in a water bath);
  • salt to taste.

In order to prepare a dietary low-calorie dish from this berry, I use a regular baking sheet, which I cover with baking foil. The foil preserves the natural juice and natural flavor of the dish.

  1. I cut the pumpkin into thin slices: I prefer to make them like "melon skids", so I cut them along with the skin. I cover the baking sheet with foil in such a way as to cover the entire dish in the first few minutes of baking.
  2. I place the slices in an enameled container and add olive oil, a little salt and mix gently, let it stand for a while (if the pumpkin is soft, then pour it with oil right on the baking sheet).
  3. At this time, I heat the oven to 200 degrees.
  4. I transfer the oiled slices to the foil, carefully laying out one slice after another in a row.
  5. I sprinkle the slices with cinnamon and pour a little honey on top of each, turn over and carry out similar manipulations on the other side.
  6. I cover with the side halves of the foil and send it to the oven. After 10-15 minutes, I open the foil so that the pumpkin slices acquire an appetizing color and become golden brown.

I cook the pumpkin in the oven in slices for about half an hour. During this time, it becomes soft and saturated with its own aromas, without losing its taste.

Tip: if such a dessert will also be eaten by family members who do not monitor weight, then before serving it can be sprinkled with powdered sugar. Such a non-diet baked pumpkin is served at the table with whipped cream, sour cream, vanilla or caramel sauce.

Important: cooking according to this recipe is not recommended for those who have a history of allergic reaction for bee products. For this category of pumpkin lovers, replacing honey with sugar is suitable, but in this case, the finished dish will lose its dietary purpose.

apple sugar gourd

Sometimes you want to serve something unusual and useful at the same time. In these cases, I turn to old Russian recipes, and this step by step recipe how to bake a pumpkin in the oven with slices of apples, I found in the old Russian recipe. It, of course, talked about cooking such a dish in a Russian oven and a clay pot, but I experimented a little and got a pumpkin stew baked in a (ceramic) pot in the oven.

The ingredients for making this sweet "stew" can be found in my refrigerator at any time of the year:

  • pumpkin (a piece of about 300 grams or half a kilogram is enough);
  • fresh apples of any variety (as much as pumpkins are taken);
  • 50 grams of sugar (I prefer brown)
  • a quarter glass of water;
  • a little walnut.

I prepare a sweet "stew", following the following sequence of actions:

  1. I cut the pulp of the pumpkin into small pieces.
  2. I cut the apples into slices of approximately the same size as the pumpkin pieces.
  3. In an enamel bowl I mix sugar, apples and pumpkin, let it stand for a while and let the juice go.
  4. I pour water into a ceramic pot and send the prepared mixture with apples there.
  5. I send the pot to a preheated oven. How long to bake such a “stew” depends on what variety the pumpkin has and what degree of maturity it is - on average, it is about 35-45 minutes. But it is better to focus on the degree of softness.
  6. When the mixture becomes soft, take it out of the oven and leave to cool.

When the pumpkin-apple stew cools down, I transfer it to a salad bowl and sprinkle chopped nuts on top. Despite the fact that such a stew turns out to be sweet, its calorie content is low, and sometimes I can afford such a dessert.
