Application:
The ventilation control unit (panel) is an automation board that is designed to control the entire ventilation unit and regulate all the necessary parameters. The main element of the ventilation control unit, which gives commands to the actuators, is the controller. There are different brands and types of controllers that can be used in ventilation control systems.
The board (block) of management of ventilation provides:
- control of all executive mechanisms according to the specified algorithm.
- maintaining the set temperature, by regulating the cooling capacity and heating capacity of the ventilation unit, of the following types of air:
a) air, in a room with duct air temperature limitation.
b) supply, when leaving the unit
c) air removed from the duct air temperature limited room.

Indication:
a) air filter dusting
b) ventilation unit modes
c) operation of all major mechanisms
d) readings of all temperature sensors

Protection of the elements of the ventilation control system:
a) frost protection for hot water heaters
b) protection against overheating of motor windings
c) protection against overheating of electric air heaters

Dispatching capability
- shutdown of ventilation in case of fire alarm
- additional possibilities of non-standard configurations

Due to the fact that the controllers of the ventilation control systems are freely programmable, they can be designed for almost any range of tasks. Thanks to the diagrams and accessories for the blocks, you can create a durable and convenient ventilation control panel, which will be understandable and convenient during operation and installation.

Design and materials used:
Ventilation control panels are supplied in 2 different variations - in a metal case and a plastic one. Shield with plastic housing closed plastic lid, under which all controls are located. The shield with a metal case contains a metal cover, on which all the controls, switching and signaling elements are displayed. Dimensions of ventilation control cabinets vary depending on configuration.

Installation and prevention
The installation of the ventilation control cabinet can be carried out by personnel who have a permit to work with electrical installations, have received the necessary safety instructions and who know the principles of operation of instrumentation and control systems related to the protection and control of ventilation installations. Before starting work, it is necessary to make sure that the ventilation control cabinet is complete and free of any damage. The ventilation control cabinet is mounted on a vertical surface, the height of which must be at least 1 meter from the floor. Cable entry is from below. The degree of protection of the installation depends on the choice of the installation location of the cabinet.

Control systems and automation of ventilation systems maintain and control the specified climatic conditions in the room. The device that controls all components of the system is called the ventilation control panel. What it consists of, and why automation of ventilation systems is needed, we will consider in this article.

Tasks of ventilation systems

So, the main tasks that are performed using automatic control ventilation systems are:

  • The room maintains constant set parameters of the air condition;
  • The frequencies with which the fan rotates are regulated;
  • The water heater is protected from freezing;
  • The degree of contamination of the filters is displayed.
  • Thanks to the performance of such functions, the use of ventilation system control helps to save up to 20% of heat and cold consumption.

Elements of ventilation systems

The control system includes basic elements such as sensors, regulators and other actuators.

With the help of sensors, you can receive information about the state of the required object by various parameters (temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.) and control it in the event of the slightest system failure. It is necessary to select sensors strictly in accordance with the conditions of a particular ventilation (operating conditions, range and degree of measurement accuracy, etc.).

Temperature sensors are made for outdoor and indoor use, they can show the temperature on the surface of the pipeline or inside the channel (air duct). They are fixed either on the pipes themselves (on their surface) - external, or perpendicular to the moving air flow in the pipe, air duct - channel sensors. Atmospheric sensors are installed outside the building, above its middle, on the leeward side, and indoor types of sensors should be mounted indoors, at a distance of at least 1-1.5 m from the floor.

Ventilation control also depends on sensors that regulate the degree of humidity, they are for room use and duct. Outwardly, they look like a unit with an electrical device built into it, which measures the relative humidity of the air and converts the received data into electronic signals. For the device to work more accurately, it must be installed at a certain distance from windows, heating devices, ventilation jets and sunlight.

The pressure is controlled by relays and analog pressure sensors. They are installed in places that meet the requirements technical passport. Measure the pressure at one given point, show the pressure difference at several points.

Flow sensors are devices that measure the speed of flow (it can be either liquid or gas) in pipes and air ducts. The calculation of the gas or liquid flow rate is made taking into account the cross-sectional area of the pipe.

Regulators

Regulators are necessary to control the actuating ventilation mechanisms. They receive signals from sensors, process their readings and actuate the actuators of the ventilation system.

Executive mechanisms

A device that starts its work on a command received from the regulator is called an actuator. They are divided according to the method of operation: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, etc.

All processes that make up the entire ventilation control system are controlled by a device such as an electric control panel.

Control boards (cabinets, block) for ventilation systems

A control panel is a device that provides centralized control over technological processes in enterprises for various purposes(power plants of the gas supply system, water supply, electricity supply, etc.). This is a kind of remote control with instruments for measuring and controlling various parameters, light indicators, control keys and mnemonic diagrams located on it.
The control unit is completed in such a way that the visibility of the devices and quick access to them are taken into account as much as possible. Together with the control panel for the entire enterprise, group, aggregate, workshop and other panels can be installed in the system.

In ventilation systems, control cabinets are also used. Control, through cabinets, can be carried out by programmed micro controllers (automatically) and by manual adjustment of operating parameters.

The ventilation control panel is the basic unit of this system, it performs the following main functions:

  1. Includes operation indication and the ventilation unit itself;
  2. Controls the supply fan;
  3. Adjusts the speed of the supply fan;
  4. Controls the air damper actuator;
  5. Regulates temperature.

Control panels work with various types equipment for ventilation systems. Thanks to it, not only a constant temperature and humidity of the room is maintained, but also the safety of operating equipment is increased.

All indicators necessary for high-quality air exchange are stored for a given period of time. Ventilation shields are used in systems with water and electric heating, systems with heat recovery and recirculation, as well as in exhaust, supply and booster systems.

The ventilation is controlled by the remote control (shield) according to the parameters set by the manufacturer, it can be standard and additional (advanced) functions. The cabinet regulates and records the temperature of the contacts of the ventilation motors, controls the air and heat supply valves, slows down the shutdown time for the supply air fan, gives signals about dirty filters, about the entire operation of the system, warns and fixes accidents, and performs many other tasks assigned to it.

Scheme of control cabinets

Today, control panels for supply, exhaust and supply and exhaust ventilation available in a huge range, so you can choose cabinets for any type and combination of equipment. Most of them are made according to standard scheme work and include frequency converters, controllers, switches and starters, switches, contactors, protective elements, relays and light indicators of various modes. Each component of the device circuit plays a role in common work control panel.

Functional diagram of ventilation automation

So, for example, thanks to frequency converters, it is possible to change the speed of rotation of the fan blades and thereby start the mechanisms in a gentle mode of operation (without jerks and sudden changes). This will reduce energy consumption, reduce the percentage of possible overload, increase the safety of the system and extend the overall life of the system.

Controllers are discrete and analog, they are needed to resolve problems that arise in the operation of ventilation systems. Using controllers, at any time you can quickly respond to the slightest deviation from the norm in the operation of any element of the system and immediately correct it.

How to place control panels?

The ventilation control unit is initially designed and ready for continuous operation in the temperature range from -10 to +55 0C. Cases of cabinets for control are produced from metal and plastic materials, with degrees of protection IP31 and IP45. They work with grounding and a mains current frequency of 50 Hz under a voltage of 220 or 380V.

Due to such technical indicators, control panels supply ventilation are installed in specialized premises, remote from sources of moisture, dust, heating devices and chemical processes.
It is strictly forbidden to use blocks with increased humidity of the room, possible wetting of the shield, or direct sunlight on it. The manifestation of radio magnetic interference, near the device, is also better to exclude.

Based on the foregoing, we can conclude that a room specially equipped for it - a control room or an electrical panel room - is best suited for a ventilation system control panel.

The ventilation system is one of the main components of any room. The microclimate and, accordingly, the comfortable stay of a person at home or at the workplace depend on it. The ventilation control panel is a device that allows you to centrally control absolutely all components of the automatic ventilation control system.

Unfortunately, most of us have a habit of not paying attention to the quality of room ventilation at all. However, in the most developed economies, ventilation and air conditioning mechanisms have already become a major necessity for human health.

Modern ventilation control systems allow not only to control the volume and speed of air entering the room. They can serve not only for ventilation work- the advantage of modern ventilation mechanisms in providing the possibility of forming the necessary microclimate and regulating all air parameters.

However, the more complex the mechanism, the more efforts must be made to regulate its operation. To this end, the premises are increasingly installed automatic systems controls, which greatly facilitate the task of regulating ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Ventilation automation, in fact, consists in the development of panels for the control and monitoring of system parameters. At the same time, the operation of several systems of climatic equipment can be controlled at once.
