How to kill weeds in the garden with home methods. Good weed killer. Vinegar with salt: instructions, reviews. The best weed killer. Features of the use of chemicals

The pleasure of growing vegetables and herbs is overshadowed by only one point: the need to constantly fight weeds. It is weeding and loosening that plays a key role in summer plant care, but this process is so tedious that many homeowners seriously think about getting rid of weeds and grass once and for all. This may seem unrealistic, because weeds grow always and everywhere, and their seedlings appear much earlier than the first shoots of cultivated plants.

At the same time, efficient and simple ways Weed control really does exist. This article contains the main methods for quickly and completely getting rid of the site from weeds, from simple mechanical to more effective chemical ones.

How to get rid of weeds and grass permanently

AT recent times A variety of drugs aimed at weed control have appeared on the agrochemical market. Many summer residents prefer to use just such means, because manual weeding takes too much time and effort.

Note: Herbicides are special chemical preparations that are aimed at combating weeds. The first such products appeared at the end of the 19th century, but modern herbicides have much broader capabilities.

All such drugs are divided into contact and systemic. The former affect only that part of the plant that has been directly processed. Systemic preparations penetrate through the stems and leaves and are quickly transferred to the root system. As a result, not only the above-ground, but also the underground part dies. In addition, the classification of herbicides includes preparations of continuous and selective action. The former destroy not only weeds, but also seedlings of cultivated plants, while the latter affect only a certain type of plant. Last group preparations are very helpful in growing vegetables, since such substances can be used to control weeds on already formed beds of vegetables, herbs and root crops (Figure 1).

Indeed, the use of herbicides is the most modern way to deal with weeds on the site, but this method has both advantages and certain disadvantages.

The benefits of using herbicides include:

  1. Ability to cover a large area a short time. This is especially useful for private farm owners who simply do not have the ability to remove plants manually.
  2. High efficiency in removing even the most tenacious weeds with a branched root system. good example can be considered wheatgrass, the roots of which lie deep in the ground, and from each part of the root a new plant sprouts in the spring. Using herbicides, you will get rid of not only the above-ground parts of the plants, but also the roots, and completely free the site from this weed.
  3. Herbicides are absolutely safe for humans and animals, as they do not accumulate in the soil. The active ingredients of such preparations remain in the roots for no more than 2 weeks, after which they decompose into absolutely safe chemical elements that dissolve in the soil. As a result cultivated plants do not suffer, and soil fertility does not decrease.

In addition, a wide selection chemicals allows you to choose a substance that will have maximum efficiency in certain conditions. For example, you can use a powerful pre-emergence herbicide to clear the area of vegetation before loosening, or apply a post-emergence preparation aimed at controlling a certain type of plant in areas with crops that have already sprouted.

Before using herbicides, it should be borne in mind that they also have some disadvantages. Firstly, herbicides of non-selective, but continuous action still show the greatest efficiency. But, unfortunately, they destroy not only weeds, but also cultivated plants, so they can only be used before sowing or after harvesting.

Secondly, the preparations themselves are still toxic, although they do not accumulate in the soil. Therefore, during spraying, certain safety measures must be observed: wear gloves and protective clothing, and do not eat or smoke during processing.

herbicides

The market for modern herbicides is quite diverse. They are produced in the most different forms: from powders and granules to liquids and emulsions. There are certain differences in the preparation of the working solution, therefore, before use, you must carefully read the instructions and clearly follow the manufacturer's recommendations.

Figure 1. The most effective herbicides

Despite the wide variety of such drugs, there are only a few, the effectiveness of which is generally recognized. Roundup and Tornado are considered the most effective herbicides of continuous action: they destroy more than 150 types of weeds, but at the same time they are destructive for cultivated plants, so treatment can be carried out either in spring (before sowing) or in autumn (after harvesting).

Other drugs

The use of herbicides is not justified for all gardeners. Despite the fact that scientists consider such chemicals to be the most effective, some owners of the plots avoid using such chemicals.

Unfortunately, there is no alternative to herbicides. Relatively "mild" chemicals for weed control can be considered selective herbicides that do not affect cultivated plants, but at the same time destroy weeds. But, if you consider such drugs dangerous, the only option for dealing with weeds will be mechanical weeding. You can also treat planting material with growth stimulants: in this case cultivated plants will quickly throw out seedlings that will suppress germinating weeds.

Mechanical control against grass and weeds

Weeding and loosening is the most ancient, effective, but also tedious way of weed control, especially in large areas. At the same time, mechanical removal cannot be completely avoided: even if you used a powerful herbicide of continuous action, there is always a chance that some of the roots will still remain in the ground and the weeds will sprout again.

It should be noted right away that fully mechanical weed control is only suitable for owners of small plots: such work on large areas simply will not be effective enough. In addition to standard weeding, there are other methods of mechanical weed removal, so we will consider them in more detail.

Weeding

It would seem, what can be difficult in weeding? The whole task boils down to taking weeds and pulling them out along with the root. But, no matter how strange it may sound, simple but tedious weeding also has certain rules (Figure 2).

Note: If you fully comply with the weeding technology, you can really get rid of weeds, if not forever, then at least for a fairly long time.

First of all, it should be borne in mind that weeding must be started even before the weeds reach maximum development and will begin to bloom, since it is at this time root system becomes the most powerful, and it will be problematic to remove the plant with the root.

Figure 2. Mechanical removal of weeds by weeding

In addition, it is better to use a pitchfork in the process of weeding - this way you will be sure that you have completely removed the entire rhizome, and there are no particles of roots left in the soil, from which a new plant can grow in the future.

To facilitate the task, weeding is best done immediately after rain, when the soil is soft and the plants are removed from the soil along with the root without much difficulty. It is also advisable to remove all weeds from the site before flowering and seed formation: remember that seeds remain viable for three years, even if they are deep in the ground.

Mulching

Mulching is a process in which beds are covered with a layer of dense film, roofing felt or agrofibre, leaving holes for cultivated plants. The advantage of this procedure is that the dense covering material does not let the sun's rays through. Accordingly, the process of photosynthesis does not occur in the leaves of plants, and the weeds die, and not only their aerial parts, but also the root system (Figure 3).

The mulching method can be used to completely destroy weeds in the area. But you should be prepared for the fact that this process is lengthy. In the spring, when weeds are just beginning to sprout, the area is completely covered with a dark film and this shelter is removed only next summer. This will not only destroy already germinated plants, but will also prevent the seeds that are in the ground from developing.

Figure 3. Mulching with film and straw

Mulching can also be used to grow strawberries or root crops. In this case, the bed is covered with a covering material and cuts are made for cultivated plants. This method is good because the weeds under the film completely die, and the cultivated plants develop fully. At the same time, if you grow berries in this way, the fruits will remain absolutely clean. However, it should be borne in mind that in this case it is better to use organic mulching material: sawdust, straw or grass cuttings, since the soil under the film will overheat too much. It should also be borne in mind that the mulch layer must be thick enough, at least 10 cm, so that sunlight and moisture do not penetrate the weeds.

other methods

There are other ways to get rid of weeds. First of all, it should be borne in mind that weeds germinate only in an empty area. Accordingly, the cultivation of cultivated plants must be adjusted in such a way that the soil is never empty. Naturally, in the process it is necessary to take into account the rules of agricultural technology. For example, if you have harvested onions and the garden bed is empty, you can sow it with green manure or greens that germinate quickly (radishes, dill, spinach or lettuce). Of course, weeds will still appear, but their number will be small and weeds can be removed manually.

Note: In the last century, a very unusual method of weed control was used in the United States. For this, spraying with alcohol was used, diluting 150 grams of alcohol in a bucket of water. The method is really effective, but processing can be carried out no later than a month before sowing the seeds.

If large, but solitary weeds with a strong root system grow on your site, it will be very problematic to manually remove them. In this case, you can simply cut off the aerial part and regularly repeat this procedure as the shoots grow. Gradually, the root system will use up the reserve of forces to restore the above-ground parts, and will die. In addition, the compaction method can be used by reducing the row spacing. But this method must be used with caution, adhering to the optimal distance for the development of cultivated plants.

So that weeds do not germinate in the new season, experienced gardeners It is recommended to carry out deep digging in late autumn. Weed roots, once on the surface, will be destroyed by the first autumn frosts.

How to get rid of weeds and grass folk remedies

Before the advent of herbicides, folk methods weed removal. Some of them are relevant even now, especially if the owner of the site adheres to the principles organic farming and does not use chemicals (Figure 4).

Effective folk remedies for weed control include:

  1. soda: This food product is used not only in cooking. It can be used to eliminate heavy pollution or deal with heartburn. A strong soda solution will effective tool weed control: they just need to spray weeds. The solution, penetrating into the soil, destroys the roots and the plants die.
  2. Salt: it has been used for weed control since ancient times. If you sprinkle the soil with dry salt (1.5 kg of salt per square meter), and then wait for rain. Salt will penetrate the soil and all vegetation will be completely destroyed. However, this method is also potentially dangerous: it is completely unsuitable for a vegetable garden, since not only weeds, but also cultivated plants will not grow on salt-sprinkled soil.
  3. Vinegar: can also be considered an excellent organic replacement for modern herbicides. To prepare a working solution for spraying, you need to mix 2 cups of vinegar, the same amount of water, 1 sachet of citric acid, 30 grams of alcohol and 2 teaspoons of dishwashing detergent. Weeds are spot-treated with this solution, trying not to touch the cultivated plants.

Particularly tenacious weeds can be sprayed with a particularly effective mixture of grated laundry soap, salt and vinegar in the same proportions.

How to destroy weeds on the site: video

In the video you will find recommendations for preparing a simple do-it-yourself weed killer.

The problem with weeds is so great that summer residents invent all sorts of ways to exterminate them on the site. At the same time, some try not to deviate from "classical" agronomy, while others are ready for the most unexpected experiments. We decided to fully study the issue of weed control and make a hit parade of existing methods.

Forks instead of spades

1. Weeding is the most famous and at the same time the most time-consuming way to fight. You can deal with annual weeds in this way, but on the condition that you go on time to swing the chopper - before the weed seeds ripen and fall to the ground.

With perennial weeds, the situation is different. You can spend whole days in the garden, wielding a chopper and sweating, but if you do not select all the roots of wheatgrass or goutweed from the soil, then in two weeks everything will return to normal. Moreover, if their rhizomes are cut into several parts, this will not lead to death, but to an even more massive spread of the weed. Therefore, instead of a shovel, use a pitchfork to till the soil, they will not damage the roots and will be able to pull them out of the ground.

Mulching

2. Around berry bushes and in beds with vegetables, mulching gives excellent results. Dry grass, compost, straw, chopped branches and the same weeds, laid in a layer of 6-7 cm around the plant, will not allow weed “pests” to germinate. At the same time, both air and water easily pass through the mulch to the cultivated plant, and the soil does not dry out. Mulch is usually recommended to be laid on well-weeded soil.

Based on the experience of many, we can say that vegetable beds, of course, must first be thoroughly weeded, but it is enough to mow the grass around currants or gooseberries and lay a mulching “blanket”. Then free access to the bushes will be provided until the end of the season.

Arrange a "dark"

3. To cope with weeds along the fences and in the aisles between the beds, the remnants of linoleum, black film, roofing material, thick cardboard will come in handy. Place the material firmly on the area to be cleared. If the vegetation has reached an impressive size, then first walk with a trimmer. Leave the "shelter" for 3-4 weeks. After this time, you will find that there are no weeds left under the sheets of linoleum or cardboard - after all, without light, not a single plant will survive. It remains only to collect dead roots with a rake. But you need to understand that in order to achieve maximum effect, this event should be carried out as early as possible in the spring.

And in the summer, this method can be used to overcome weeds around garden strawberries. This culture grows well and bears fruit when the entire bed is covered with a black film, and strawberry plants are planted in a slot.

Water is not for everyone

4. Another technique in weed control is the application drip irrigation. Its essence is that water is supplied purposefully to each cultivated plant, and weeds remain without moisture. Of course, it will not work to completely get rid of weeds in this way, but it will be possible to slow down their active growth.

The method also has a minus - the financial side of the issue. To provide all cultivated plants with water and to run drip irrigation hoses to each, you will have to spend money from the budget. It is most reasonable to apply this method in a greenhouse. So you kill two birds with one stone: and the plants will always be watered, and there is less fuss with weeds.

haircut head

5. If you regularly cut off the entire aerial part of the weeds, then the plant will need to expend all its strength to grow new leaves. And it will not grow in breadth, capturing new territories. If you are not looking for perfectly clean soil on the site, then this method is for you. It is enough once every 10-14 days to pass the trimmer around the site and manually “turn the heads” of several weeds in the flower garden. The main thing is to do it regularly. Such processing will take much less time than the total weeding of every centimeter of the earth.

Replacement of players

6. Where do weeds most often appear? Where there is unoccupied land. Where vegetables or flowers grow, one way or another, weeds are fought. But as soon as the garden bed is freed after early greenery, the weeds will immediately begin to encroach on this tidbit. The conclusion is simple - the earth should not stand idle. Sow green manure. They will not allow "uncivilization" to germinate, at the same time they will become an excellent organic fertilizer.

Home recipe

7. Summer residents who adhere to the principles of ecological farming are ardent opponents of the use of various chemicals on the site. To control weeds, they came up with a replacement for chemical herbicides. So, gardeners advertise such a recipe to each other. You need to take 400 ml of water, mix with 30 ml of vodka and add a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Pour the mixture into a manual sprayer (you can take the usual plastic bottle with spray gun). This "herbicide" should be used in sunny weather, spray abundantly on weeds growing on open places. There will be no effect in shaded places or in deep shade.

chicken manure as a herbicide

8. Studying the experience of amateur gardeners, another effective way to destroy weeds was identified. Everyone in the garden has places that are not in sight, but extra plants are useless there. For example, behind the barn, country toilet. Scatter fresh chicken manure there. In a diluted form, it is a fertilizer, but in a concentrated form, it is a poison that burns everything in its path.

Dahlias and rye vs wheatgrass

9. Gardeners say that dahlias and rye are the worst enemies of wheatgrass. The places where these beautiful flowers were planted were "bypassed" with wheatgrass. Moreover, and on next year the ground remained clean. And rye was sown, like green manure, on the vacated beds. The result is the same - wheatgrass does not grow on this land.

fire fighting

10. Another exotic and, I must say, unsafe way. Often in the beds where parsley, dill or carrots are sown, weeds are the first to sprout. This is because the seeds vegetable crops rise more slowly. And our summer residents figured out how to quickly get rid of unwanted vegetation, using blowtorch(!). Passing along the bed, they work the surface of the soil with a sliding flame. And after “roasting”, the bed is watered, thereby cooling it.

BUT! This method is a fire hazard! Yes, and the seeds of vegetables do not burn for long, you just have to stay a little longer in one place.

Kerosene for carrots

11. Gardeners know how hard it is to weed carrot or dill seedlings. And then resourceful summer residents came up with a way to overcome weeds in the beds with these vegetables - spray them with kerosene. It is proposed to take 100 ml of kerosene and spray the bed until the seedlings of cultivated plants appear. After 2-3 days, all weeds die, while carrot and dill seeds that have not yet sprouted do not suffer from such a procedure. It is definitely impossible to call this method of struggle ecological, and many would not take risks and try carrots from such a garden.

EXPERIMENT! INCREASING THE DEGREE

12. Fight weeds and use alcohol. The method is curious and unverified by any of the gardeners, but at the same time it is often encountered (more than once on the Internet we came across a mention of it). This method originated in America, where it was tested in the 1930s. The bottom line is to provoke the growth of weeds.

A month before the start of sowing, the soil was sprayed with a 6% solution of ethyl alcohol (in terms of 150 g of vodka per bucket of water). Alcohol stimulated the germination of seeds, and the weeds sprouted together. After which they were weeded out. From the point of view of science, everything is logical - essential oils, which are on the surface of the seeds delay their germination. Alcohol breaks down oils and weeds sprout faster.

12 ways to get rid of weeds, 1.0 out of 5 based on 3 ratings

Mechanical removal of weeds in the garden is a very laborious work and, moreover, often not very effective. After some time, plants reappear in the beds, depriving garden crops of the nutrients they need so much. The thing is that even with the most thorough weeding, small roots of weeds still remain in the ground, giving growth. There is only one way out of this situation - to use a special chemical preparation designed to completely destroy unwanted plants in the garden or in the yard. Such a weed killer is called a herbicide and is sold in any specialized store. There are also less effective, but also less harmful to the soil and cultivated plants "folk" analogue of such drugs - ordinary vinegar with salt.

Classification

Currently, only two types of herbicides are used to control garden weeds:

  • Selective. Such agents act selectively on one or another type of weed.
  • Non-selective. Herbicides of this variety, when applied to the ground, destroy all vegetation without exception.

Herbicides also differ according to the principle of action. A weed killer can penetrate into plant tissues (instructions for the use of herbicides will be discussed by us a little lower) can:

  • through the leaves to the root;
  • through leaves and soil to all parts of the plant, including seeds;
  • only through soil.

Recently, preparations have also been developed that destroy moss and saturate the soil with useful micro and macro elements.

In addition, herbicides can be contact or systemic. The first type of drugs has a detrimental effect on weeds only in direct contact with their parts. Systemic herbicides after contact with the leaves penetrate the tissues and spread through them, destroying all parts of the weed, including roots and stems.

A "folk" remedy, vinegar with salt, also classified as a herbicide, can be attributed to systemic general action.

Selective drugs

There are simply a huge number of herbicides of this type that do an excellent job of controlling weeds. Very often summer residents use for cleaning the beds, for example, "Zenkor", "Foxtrot", "Eraser", "Puma Super", "Lazurit".

Using any weed control agent on the site, it is mandatory to follow the dosage indicated in the instructions for use. At too high concentrations, these drugs can have a negative effect on both the soil and cultivated plants.

Principle of operation and use

Selective herbicides contain special substances that inhibit the development of plant tissues and cause their death. These can be, for example, ACC inhibitors. These substances prevent the formation of fat in the tissues of plants, as a result of which their cells stop growing. Selective herbicides may also contain different kind elements that mimic plant hormones.

Any weed killer, of course, should be used correctly. Most often, the treatment of areas with herbicides is carried out by spraying. The solution can be poured, for example, into a spray bottle. It is desirable to process weeds in calm weather, trying not to get on cultivated plants. The time of spraying should be chosen so that within 24 days after it there was no rain.

Selective herbicide "2,4-D"

This drug is considered the most effective means of selective action. It has been used for weed control since the 1940s. To date, more than 22 herbicides have been created based on "2,4-D", successfully used in agriculture. The main active ingredient of this drug is 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. It is a white crystalline substance. The herbicide "2,4-D" is moderately toxic and belongs to the second hazard class.

The growth of weeds after treatment with this drug stops after a few hours. The herbicide "2.4-D" is produced in the form of 50 and 61 percent solutions, as well as 70 and 72 percent concentrates. It is mainly used to control annual dicotyledonous weeds in wheat and corn crops.

The best herbicides for the garden

For the treatment of beds with tomatoes, peas and potato plots, a preparation such as Agritox is often used. This herbicide has a detrimental effect on weeds such as lamb, nettle, shepherd's purse, cornflower, dandelion, wild radish, arrowheads, etc.

Cucumbers and other cucurbits can be sprayed with Halosulfuron or Bensulide. For carrots, Linuron is perfect. Herbicide "Lazurit" is used for all types of vegetable crops.

Best lawn weed killer

The most popular lawn treatment agent is the selective herbicide Lontrel-300D. This tool is very effective in the fight against both annual and perennial weeds. With its use, you can clean the lawn from such types of grass as sow thistle, Tatar Molokan, mountaineer, cornflower, coltsfoot, legumes, chamomile and, most importantly, persistent dandelion. At the same time, it does absolutely no harm to lawn cereal grasses.

General medicines

Herbicides of this variety are usually used not for spraying beds, but for killing weeds in the yard, along the edges of the lawn, along paths, etc. You can also treat the land with these preparations in early spring before planting crops. They are completely removed from the soil within about a month. Ferrous sulfate is the main active ingredient in general herbicides.

Treatment with non-selective preparations is also usually carried out by spraying. Some herbicides, both selective and general, are available in dry form. They are either diluted with water or scattered over the site (on wet ground).

Herbicide "Roundal"

This is the most popular continuous weed control today. It spreads through plant tissues within 5-10 days. Around the same time, the first signs of damage appear on their leaves. Weeds die about a month after spraying. Plants are best treated with Roundal in sunny, warm weather. There is no need to mow the grass. The greater the vegetative activity of the weed, the faster the Roundal will spread through its parts, and the faster it will die.

For cultivating the land before planting garden crops (vegetables, potatoes, melons, oilseeds, etc.), as well as for the complete destruction of grass along paths, hedges or in the yard, the Roundal preparation is diluted in a proportion of 80-120 ml per liter of water. Spraying or watering is carried out at the rate of 5 liters per 100 m2.

Herbicide "Tornado"

This is another popular drug, also often used by summer residents. This herbicide is usually sold in vials. The manufacturer recommends spraying with a product diluted in three liters of water. However, experienced summer residents advise using the Tornado herbicide a little differently. In order not to catch other plants, the drug should be diluted in a bucket. At the same time, the treatment is carried out with the help of a broom, gently “lubricating” the weeds with a solution.

Best remedy: Vinegar with salt

Of course, purchased herbicides are effective and easy to use. However, these funds are usually quite expensive. In addition, most summer residents prefer to use any chemistry in the garden as rarely as possible.

Therefore, many owners of suburban areas are trying to replace purchased herbicides with "folk" remedies. Acetic acid is usually used as the simplest and safest. For spraying the beds, its 5% solution is most often used.

To process the yard, you can also use a more effective "folk" remedy for weeds - vinegar and salt. Prepare such a herbicide as follows:

  • 3.8 liters of vinegar 9% are poured into a bucket;
  • half a glass of salt is poured there;
  • a little liquid soap is added;
  • everything is thoroughly mixed.

A weed killer with vinegar is used in the same way as chemical preparations. Spraying should be carried out as carefully as possible. It is impossible to allow drops from the spray gun to fall on cultivated plants. Best time for processing - early morning.

Usually, white vinegar is used to kill weeds. You can also take apple. Summer residents who decide to use this "folk" herbicide should be aware that in large quantities it is able to leach nutrients from the ground.

"Folk" remedy for weeds: reviews

Many summer residents use vinegar to remove unwanted plants in yards and beds. However, reviews about it on the network are quite contradictory. What do they say about this weed killer? Vinegar with salt in no way has any harmful effect on the chemical composition of the soil, since it decomposes very quickly into carbon dioxide and water, some say. According to others, the splitting process takes a long time, and the use of vinegar can negatively affect plant yields. But in any case, maximum care should be taken when processing. Do not pour vinegar on the ground. Processing is carried out strictly on the leaves.

Of course, vinegar does some damage to the soil in any case. However, the same "Tornado" and "Randal" can hardly be considered harmless either. They are much more expensive, but the effect of their use is almost the same.

What is the best remedy for weeds - it is up to the owners of the summer cottage to decide, of course. Someone prefers purchased chemicals, and someone, perhaps, prefers "folk" vinegar. In any case, the use of herbicides helps to save time on mechanical weeding. However, of course, such compositions should be used "wisely". Otherwise, along with weeds, you can "free" the garden from cultivated plants.

And in the garden it takes a lot of time and effort from us. Quinoa, couch grass, knotweed, wormwood, amaranth - these are far from all representatives of the flora that “voluntarily” settle in areas and interfere with full growth and development. How to get rid of grass on the site? Summer residents are looking for the answer to this question from year to year. Effective ways to kill weeds, tested and approved by experienced gardeners, gardeners are presented in this article.

Quality tillage

You can get rid of the grass on the site as a result of seasonal work. In spring and autumn, when digging up the soil, use a pitchfork. With this tool, you can remove the grass from the ground completely without cutting its root, as is often the case when working with a shovel. If a weed particle remains in the ground, it is possible that it will grow again next year in this place.

As soon as the first grass sprouted on the site in the spring, it must immediately be weeded out with the roots. If the soil is damp, then it is better to pull it out with your hands. In order for the grass to not take root again on the surface of the soil, it is necessary to carefully select it and take it out of the site.

How to remove grass from the site: natural methods

Performing on the site, we ourselves, without thinking about it, use traditional methods of weed control.

Herbicides - "heavy artillery" in the fight against weeds

Thinking about how to get rid of the grass on the site, especially when we are talking about perennial weeds (wheatgrass, thistle, nettle), many summer residents opt for the use of herbicides. These are systemic preparations based on glyphosate, the impact of which on plants leads to the death of the latter. To date, the most effective herbicides are considered "Roundup", "Zero", "Hurricane", "Tornado". Before you get rid of the grass on the site with these drugs, carefully read the instructions for their use. Spraying is carried out in dry and calm weather. The first results of processing can be seen in a week. During this time, the drug is absorbed into the cells of the plant, destroying them. Leaves begin to wilt and dry out. After 20-25 days, the perennial dies entirely.

During the period of action of the preparations of the glyphosate group, it is not recommended to influence the ground around the weeds in any way (weeding, digging, watering). This can disrupt the movement of the herbicide through the cells of the plant and block its work. It is necessary to use Roundup and similar products before sowing vegetable seeds or after harvesting.

In order for the garden and the garden to please you with a good harvest, it is important not only to know how to get rid of the grass on the site, but also to be able to do it efficiently. Take the tips presented in this article into service, and by the next season you will notice that there are significantly fewer weeds in your garden.
