Any owner of an apartment that is undergoing renovation wants finishing materials and furniture to meet all the required quality standards. Therefore, the choice of goods for repair is determined not only by the fact how this item fits the required parameters, but also whether it meets the requirements of GOST.

A certificate of conformity is available for all products that are manufactured in compliance with necessary requirements. Therefore, on the packaging of one or another material for carrying out finishing works, there is always information about the manufacturer and compliance with standards.

Regulatory documents and production

Pipe Certificate PVC sewer issued by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology. The document has its own number and expiration date. It indicates the certification body, the name of the product, as well as information on compliance with the requirements normative documents.

The completeness of information is ensured by the presence on the certificate of the name of the manufacturer of the goods. In addition, it is written who issued the certificate and on the basis of what tests. If additional information was used during certification, it is indicated in the annexes.

The certificate is signed by the head of the body that issues it, and the expert who checked the goods. Nearby there is always a round seal of the body that carried out the certification.

There is also a list of GOSTs that set standards for the production and use of PVC products. Among them:

  • GOST 51613 2000 - describes the technical characteristics of PVC products;
  • GOST 18599 2001 - sets standards for the size of sewer pipes;
  • GOST 52134 2003 - regulates the process of manufacturing PVC products;
  • GOST 1898 2001 - describes the requirements for sewerage in cottages, apartment buildings.

Certificates for products are issued after testing in laboratory conditions. In order to obtain it, the manufacturer submits an application for certification. The application goes for consideration to an accredited body or certification center for this area. After that, the necessary laboratory tests are carried out.

One of the most common sizes of PVC pipes are those with a state standard: 110 mm, 50 mm and 52 mm.

The fastest and least expensive is the method of manufacturing PVC products by extrusion. First, granulated polyvinyl chloride is heated to a plastic state. Then, using a special device, the plastic is shaped. After calibrating the product in a vacuum chamber, it is sent for cooling. With the help of a special device, marking is applied, and the product is equipped with a rubber ring seal.

Material Properties

PVC (or polyvinyl chloride) is a thermoplastic synthetic material. Externally, it is a white powder.

This material has the following characteristics:

  • high strength;
  • poor heat resistance;
  • insoluble in water;
  • good dielectric properties;
  • resistant to alcohols, acids, mineral oils, alkalis.

It is possible to dissolve or swell PVC using the following agents:

  • ketones;
  • chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons;
  • ethers.

Despite the different diameters of the pipes, they can be connected using adapters. The connection is achieved using seals and couplings.

The key is fast cooling. plastic pipes, therefore, it is necessary to provide them with the necessary thermal insulation.

Proper installation of sewage will allow you to use it for more than 50 years, which means that money will be saved. Installation of sewerage can be carried out independently, if you first familiarize yourself with the standards of plumbing work.

Sewer PVC pipes with certificates must have all of the above properties.

Characteristics of PVC pipes for internal and external sewerage

When choosing products for sewerage, all attention is paid to the wall thickness. It is necessary to use sufficiently strong pipes that will withstand all external influences. The main parameters when choosing a product are wall thickness and inner diameter.

Smooth-walled gray PVC products are used for internal sewerage. PVC inner pipes of the following sizes are common:

  • in diameter - 110, 50, 40, 32 mm;
  • length - 315 to 3,000 mm.

The thickness of these pipes is not less than 1.8 mm. Products are connected through a socket. The outer tubes are yellow and orange and have thicker walls. For example, for light conditions of rigidity, the wall thickness is from 3.9 mm, for medium conditions - 4.9 mm, for heavy conditions - 5.9 mm.

Products used for external and internal sewerage must have a certificate from the sanitary and epidemiological service.

Corrugated PVC pipes

PVC pipes are used not only for sewage. To provide isolation electrical wires and cables and protect them from mechanical damage and impact environment, use corrugated PVC pipes.

These pipes have a division according to the type of strength:

  • light;
  • heavy;
  • superheavy;
  • construction.

They are used for:

  • electrical networks (at voltage up to 1,000 V);
  • telephone, computer, IT networks and communications;
  • fire-resistant cable lines;
  • protection of pipes used in the construction of a warm floor.

Ensures compliance with GOST 1898 PVC standards.

What are the temperature characteristics of the products in question

The minimum temperature for the operation of pipes is -10 ° C, the maximum - + 60 ° C. PVC products for sewerage can withstand a wide range of temperatures. Practice shows that emergency situations do not arise during the operation of products.

At what pressure can PVC products work

The sewer pipe may different group pressure (PN 6, PN 10, PN 16). Outer pipe for outdoor sewerage able to withstand pressure up to 10 atmospheres.

Expert opinion on the results of the sanitary and epidemiological examination

Compliance of the product with the established norms of the "Uniform sanitary-epidemiological and hygienic requirements for goods subject to sanitary-epidemiological supervision (control)" reveals an expert opinion based on the results of a sanitary-epidemiological examination.

Test tests for PVC products (such as PVC pipes for internal sewage) are carried out separately. At the final stage of testing, the expert evaluates the protocols and makes a decision. In case of a positive decision, a certificate is issued.

PVC pipes are mainly used for sewerage. Polymer pipes are used for laying sewer lines for a number of reasons. Initially, it should be noted that PVC pipes have such properties as ease of installation, availability and high performance. Sewer PVC pipes in this regard make the best use of all the advantages of this type of pipe.

The decision on exactly where certain types of polymer pipes will be used is determined by their technical properties. To understand the basics, you should understand the origin of this type of material.

PVC or polyvinyl chloride belongs to a group of thermoplastic materials that retain their shape even after physical impact on them, pre-pipes are processed at high temperature.

PVC is based on stabilized chlorine and polyvinyl, and some manufacturers prefer to add a number of elements that have a significant impact on the technical characteristics of the material.

Polyvinyl chloride pipes are intended for the creation of sewer-type highways. All PVC pipes are divided into 4 large types:

  • Pipes for holding internal system sewer lines;
  • Pipes for the device of an external sewer line;
  • Pipes for the device of the pressure system;
  • PVC pipes for gravity drainage systems

The dimensions of PVC sewer pipes, depending on the scope of application, vary significantly. For example, polyvinyl pipes for gravity drainage systems have the largest dimensions, which corresponds to GOST used throughout Russia.

Also, PVC pipes vary in diameter and weight. The diameter of PVC pipes affects their mechanical characteristics.

The above classification makes it possible to evaluate the diversity of the functionality of polyvinyl pipes. Dimensions must also be taken into account because their throughput depends on the size of the pipes.

For outdoor sewerage

Rigid pipes with a thick wall are used to carry out the external line.
They may differ in the type of construction:

  • Single layer. This type of pipe resembles outwardly pipes for an internal highway. But they have Orange color and more stringent indicators;
  • Three-layer pipes (corrugated). They have a protective layer in the form of a corrugation. It has high mechanical strength The soft layer inside has a low friction index.

For the external line, pipes with a diameter of 110-630 mm are used.

For internal sewerage

When developing a project for the internal sewerage of a building, special polyvinyl pipes are used. This category of pipes is used for the internal pipeline, because the rigidity of the products is incredibly light.
Internal pipes, characteristics:

  • Connection - socket;
  • The walls are smooth;
  • The following diameters are especially popular: 40,100 and 32mm;
  • The main sewer pipe can be either 300 or 3000 mm.

Assortment of types of PVC sewer pipes

Today, a huge variety of different PVC pipes is produced. These products differ in many indicators, one of which is the diameter of the pipe:

  • sewer pipe PVC 32 mm and PVC 50 mm - this category of pipes is most often used to create an internal sewer line;
  • sewer pvc pipe 100 mm and 110 mm are intended not only for creating a sewer system, but also for internal drains;
  • sewer pipe PVC 160 has an orange color used to create an external main sewage system, wall width - 3.6 mm;
  • PVC sewer pipes GOST 1898 2001 - in connection with high quality and availability, this type of PVC pipe is the most popular among Russians;

According to external indicators:

  • gray PVC sewer pipes are used for internal sewage;
  • orange PVC sewer pipes - for an external sewer line;

PVC-U pressure sewer pipes have serious technical characteristics, they are used in sewerage places where forced disposal of sewage is used.

Mounting

The installation of the sewer system should be carried out only with the participation of specialists.
You can connect PVC sewer pipes:

  • Glue way. This method is performed using glue and special fisting. Before cutting through the pipes, the chamfer must be removed. Treat the cut with glue and fix the seam with clamps.
  • With the help of a flare. It is mounted using silicone by installing a socket in a pipe with a large diameter.

Elements

In order to mount the sewer system, do not forget about the following elements:

  • PVC sewer pipe adapters should be slightly thicker and stronger than the main pipe material;
  • PVC tees for sewer pipes are used to create a complex sewer line;
  • fittings for PVC sewer pipes have high thermal conductivity, are used both for connecting pipes and for drainage systems;
  • sealant for PVC sewer pipes can be purchased at any plumbing store;
  • glue for PVC sewer pipes must have special setting properties.

The price of sewer PVC pipes

The price of sewer PVC pipes varies from 15 rubles to 1500 rubles. Their cost depends on specifications and from destination. Also, the type of purchase can affect the cost of PVC pipes: wholesale or retail. When buying in bulk, the price of some types of pipes can drop to 10-12 rubles.

Video

It is very important that the sewer line is made of quality materials, otherwise, in which case you will have to do overhaul the entire building and re-pipe the sewer.

Polyvinyl chloride materials appeared in the USA 50 years ago and were intended for aerospace technologies. Gradually, they began to be used for laying water supply systems. In Russia, this material has been produced since 2008 and is used in industry, housing construction, agriculture(drainage), municipal economy and at home (pipelines for cold and hot water and heating, sewerage, drains).

Distinctive features

For the production of materials for various PVC pipelines, a light and durable synthetic granular polymer with composite additives is used, which is resistant to elevated temperatures (up to 60 ° C) and the effects of alkalis and acids. On the this moment it is this material that occupies a leading position among polymers, as it is versatile, energy efficient, hygienically clean, durable and dielectric, and easy to recycle.

Polyvinyl chloride is produced at the first stage of oil refining, which is the reason for its low cost. With a small weight, products made from this material have high strength. According to the production method, they are divided into single-layer and three-layer. The inner layer is recycled foam, the outer layer is unplasticized polyvinyl chloride.

PVC pipes for outdoor sewage - classification:

  • - class L - withstand loads up to 2 kN / sq. meter, are used for laying under green areas and sidewalks;
  • - class N - withstand loads up to 4 kN/sq. meter, are used for laying under the roadway with not very heavy traffic;
  • - class S - PVC pipe is heavy, withstands pressure up to 8 kN / m?. are used for laying in industrial areas and under the roadway with heavy traffic, the laying depth is allowed up to 8 meters.

PVC pipe dimensions

External PVC sewer pipes (diameter sizes from 110 to 630 mm) are designed to create systems with a large internal diameter. The wall thickness of the pvc sewer pipe - the dimensions vary between 3.2 - 15.0 mm. Available in lengths from one to six meters. May be gray or brick.

The internal dimensions of the PVC pipe are not indicated on the factory marking - they have to be calculated based on the dimensions of the outer diameter and wall thickness.

PVC sewer pipes - internal diameters:

  • - for removal from the washing or dishwasher- 25 mm;
  • - for a drain from a shower cubicle or any other siphon - 32 mm;
  • - wiring around the house or apartment - 40 - 50 mm;
  • - external system - 160 - 200 mm.

PVC pipes of large diameter

PVC sewer pipes - how to choose

Before buying PVC pipes for outdoor sewage, you need to determine:

  • - outer and inner diameter;
  • - the length of each individual section of the pipeline;
  • - the nature of the working environment;
  • - the required strength.

It is also important to match the sewer pipes pvc gost 1898-2001 and GOST 22689.0-89, defining methods of testing, transportation and storage, type of packaging and labeling.

PVC sewer installation

Installation of pvc pipes sewerage is carried out using two types of connections:

  • - fittings "under the rubber ring";
  • - fittings "for glue".

Fittings "under the rubber ring":

  • - couplings;
  • - bends at an angle of 15°, 30°, 45°, 67° and 90°;
  • - two-socket bends (angle 90o, rubber ring on both sides);
  • - tees at an angle of 45°, 67° and 90° and three-socket at an angle of 90o;
  • - reduction;
  • - crosses;
  • - plugs;
  • - check valves;
  • - two-way siphons.

PVC pipe connection systems

PVC sewer pipes - adapters "for glue":

  • - couplings;
  • - bends (30°, 45°, 87°, 90°);
  • - tees (45°, 67°, 90°);
  • - two-plane crosses (45°, 90°);
  • - reductions and revisions;
  • - plugs;
  • - herring with a bell (90o) and with a smooth end (90o).

External sewer pvc pipes are widely used due to the advantages of their use:

  • - increased strength to the impact of solid particles on the inner surface (for example, sand);
  • - high strength and ability to serve up to 50 years at a temperature not exceeding 45 ° C:
  • - environmental safety and hygienic cleanliness;
  • - 100% resistance to corrosion;
  • - resistance to low temperatures (does not break down when freezing);
  • - resistance to alkalis, acids, alcohol, gasoline;
  • - resistance to the formation of any type of deposits;
  • - resistance to ultraviolet and low flammability;
  • - ease of transportation and installation (due to low weight).

Products made of polyvinyl chloride - the most profitable material for installation outdoor system sewers, as they have all the qualities required for these pipelines. That is why they are widely used in industry, municipal construction, agriculture and everyday life. Owners of private houses and apartments are especially attracted by the fact that the domestic pipeline is installed easily and quickly, and without a welding machine.

Plastic sewer and water pipes

Sewerage, along with electricity, heating, cold and hot water supply, is one of the main engineering networks which provide improvement of residential, industrial and public buildings, as well as the territories adjacent to them. At the heart of each system of disposal of domestic, industrial and surface drains are networks of sewer pipes. They are made from materials such as:

  • steel;
  • cast iron;
  • concrete;
  • ceramics;
  • asbestos cement;
  • polymers - PVC, HDPE, PVD.

Each of the listed materials has its own advantages, but in their totality, sewer pipes made of PVC and other polymers are unrivaled. They appeared much later than other types of these products, but quickly won recognition from all categories of developers. In new sewer networks, PVC sewer pipes are increasingly used for internal and external sewage.

Advantages of PVC sewer pipes

When choosing materials for the installation of engineering networks, special attention is paid to their advantages, which make it possible to obtain the best result with a relatively small investment of time, effort and money. In this sense, PVC sewer pipes have undoubted advantages:

  • PVC is a chemically inert material, which provides it with high resistance to aggressive liquids and external influences;
  • such products have a minimum weight in comparison with analogues from other materials, which allows the installation of PVC sewer pipes without the involvement of heavy special equipment;
  • range of polymer pipes is fully compatible with products similar purpose from steel, cast iron, concrete, etc., which allows you to connect to existing sewerage networks;
  • the full range of these products includes plumbing pipes and PVC adapters for sewerage: couplings, tees, ordinary and saddle bends, plugs, adapters for assembling a drainage system;
  • the inner surface of polymer pipes does not accumulate deposits, which minimizes the risk of blockages;
  • networks of plastic pipes withstand soil movements well without compromising the tightness of the connections.

The characteristics of PVC pipes for sewerage guarantee them long term service - at least 50 years in the most severe operating conditions. The main disadvantages of such products are the impossibility of their use in pressure networks and low resistance to heat. The temperature of the drains for them should not exceed 45 ° C.

PVC pipes for outdoor drain systems

The production of PVC sewer pipes is regulated by two regulatory documents. In the order of product numbering, PVC pipes for sewerage according to GOST 32412-2013 for systems for internal drainage of wastewater from buildings are the first. The document came into force at the beginning of 2015, it sets out all the requirements that these products must meet, including their assortment. We summarized the dimensions of PVC pipes for sewerage and their other main characteristics in the following table:

Types of pipes

Nominal diameter of PVC sewer pipes by outer measurement

Wall thickness (ranges)

Product effective length

Straight with and without chamfers

32–315 mm, 12 sizes in total

3-3.5 to 6.2-7.1 mm, 5 thicknesses

With O-ring socket, type S I

32–200 mm, 10 sizes

3–3.5; 3.2-3.8 and 3.9-4.5mm

Same type S II

3–3.5 to 6.2–7.1 mm

Same type M

3-3.5 and 3.2-3.8mm

Same type L

3–3.5; 3.2-3.8 and 3.9-4.5mm

With socket for adhesive bonding

3–3.5 to 6.2–7.1 mm

All dimensions of PVC sewer pipes for internal sewerage, except for the effective length, are regulated by GOST 32412-2013. The length of the products is determined by the manufacturer himself or by agreement with the customer of the product. If you look at the photo in the catalog of sewer pipes, you can easily identify products for internal networks. They are grey. Among the normalized characteristics are also the diameter, wall thickness and length of the sockets, but only the diameter and wall thickness of the pipes are indicated in the product labeling.

In addition to two technical characteristics, the product designation indicates the trade mark and / or name of the manufacturer, as well as the month and year of manufacture. The summary table of sizes of PVC sewer pipes given by us is compiled on the basis of GOST 32412-2013, but in itself this information is scattered throughout the text of the document.

Speaking about the length of sewer pipes, one should remember about pressure PVC pipes according to GOST R 51613-2000 for transporting liquids and gases. This is a closely related product and has pipe length requirements. The value of this indicator is 4–12 m and changes in increments of 0.25 m. Manufacturers of sewer pipes most often adhere to the same rules, but they also make pipes less than four meters long.

PVC pipes for outdoor sewerage and surface drains

The consumer should be aware that the orange PVC sewer pipes are intended for outdoor sewerage networks. Orange and brown-orange colors for them are specified in GOST 32413-2013. This applies equally to gray PVC pipes for internal sewerage, which is recommended in GOST 32412-2013. Different colors provide easy product identification.

Both GOSTs were prepared and put into effect at the same time. They are very similar to each other, including having an identical structure. PVC sewer pipes according to GOST 32413-2013 differ not only in color. We have collected their characteristics in a summary table:

Varieties

Nominal outer diameter

Wall thickness (ranges)

Product effective length

Straight with and without chamfers class SN 2 SDR 51

160 – 1,000 mm, 13 sizes in total

3.2-3.8 to 19.6-21.8 mm, 13 thicknesses

110–800 mm, 13 sizes

3.2-3.8 to 23.4-26.8 mm, 13 thicknesses

With a socket for a conventional sealing ring

110–1000 mm according to the dimensions of straight pipes of the corresponding classes

The wall thickness corresponds to the standard dimensions of straight pipes, taking into account their class

Measured from the end to the start of the socket at the highest point

With socket for O-ring

110–710 mm according to the dimensions of straight pipes of the corresponding classes

With socket for gluing

110–200 mm according to the dimensions of straight pipes of the corresponding classes

You will find all sizes of PVC sewer pipes in the catalog in the GOSTs mentioned here. The first column of both tables with types of products gives a hint on how to connect PVC sewer pipes to each other. For this, glue, special couplings for straight pipes and the elastic properties of sealing rings are used.

Please note that PVC sewer pipes 110 mm in diameter are the initial size for external networks. Pipes of smaller diameters are used for internal sewerage systems. External and internal pipes of the corresponding standard sizes are completely compatible among themselves.

Fittings for drainage networks made of PVC pipes

For the installation of drainage systems, in addition to pipes, fittings are needed to assemble individual elements into a single network. The range of fittings is presented in GOST 32412-2013 and GOST 32413-2013. It includes:

  • bends with bending angles of 15, 30, 45, 67.5 and 87.5–90 degrees;
  • sliding and socket couplings;
  • adapters from larger to smaller pipe diameters;
  • tees of ordinary and transition type with third-party connection angles of 45, 67.5 and 87.5-90 degrees;
  • saddle branches and plugs to pipes of the external sewerage.

Fittings are made for socket and push-on connections, including in various combinations. For example, a 200 mm socket type PVC outdoor sewer pipe can be connected to a straight product, including larger or smaller sizes. The marking of fittings indicates their main characteristics:

  • for a regular tee - the nominal diameter and the angle of the connection;
  • for adapters and transition type tees - all connecting dimensions and connection angle;
  • for fittings, the designation of the pipe class, for example SDR 41, as well as the name of the part (coupling, tee, etc.) are added to the marking for external networks.

The methods of marking pipes and fittings are identical - relief embossing or printing with indelible paint. The certificate for PVC sewer pipes confirms that they are made from raw materials of the proper quality, passed tests during acceptance for tightness, impact strength and other parameters.

Other types of PVC pipes for drainage

The latest polymer product to enter the market was corrugated PVC pipe for sewerage. It is made in accordance with GOST R 54475-2011. A corrugation, or a structured wall, can be annular, spiral and longitudinal, with hollow and solid ribs (sections), with smooth outer and inner surfaces (type A), with a corrugated top (type B).

Corrugated pipes designed for non-pressure external sewer networks. Their assortment includes pipes of the DN / ID series with a diameter of 100 - 2,400 mm and DN / OD - 110 - 1,200 mm. The range of pipes includes products of classes SN 2, SN 4, SN 8 and SN 16. Products of the heaviest class allow laying sewerage at a depth of up to 50 m underground. Corrugation enhances the resistance of pipes to the transport of liquids heated to 79 ° C.

What sizes of plastic sewer pipes are provided for by current regulations? For what purposes are pipes of various sizes used? Which of the proposed modern market plastic is better?

Let's figure it out.

Types of plastics

Let's start with what, in fact, are plastic pipes for.

The list is short:

  • Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UPVC, more often just PVC) is the undisputed leader in terms of production volumes;
  • Somewhat less often you can find polypropylene sewers for sale;
  • Polyethylene is an outsider: not every store will offer it to you.

How do the prices of these materials compare? Let's take as an example a very common pipe 2 meters long and 110 mm in diameter.

Nuance: the comparison is not entirely correct. The pipes involved in it differ in wall thickness, which affects the cost of production.

What is the practical difference between different plastics?

Which one should you choose when installing a sewer with your own hands?

  • Polypropylene is more wear-resistant, harder and, with equal wall thickness, has greater ring stiffness compared to competing solutions.
  • Polyethylene is more elastic and perfectly dampens acoustic vibrations. Breaking such a pipe is almost impossible; during installation, bends are permissible that are detrimental to other plastics. The flip side is less resistance to high temperatures.

Regulations

Now let's see what lengths and diameters of sewer plastic pipes are laid down in the current regulatory documents.

GOST 22689.2-89

According to this GOST, polyethylene pipes and fittings are produced.

We, of course, are primarily interested in size.

  • Pipes are produced in straight lengths of 8, 6, 5.5, 3 and 2 meters.
  • The wall thickness varies from 2 to 5.2 millimeters.
  • The table of diameters of plastic sewer pipes, frankly, does not strike with a wealth of choice. There are only four sizes on the list: 40, 50, 90 and 110 millimeters.

TU 4926-002-88742502-00

Polypropylene products are not manufactured according to GOST, but according to technical specifications. What do the current TUs say?

The list of possible lengths of straight segments will seem familiar to us: 8, 6, 5.5, 3 and 2 meters.

However: in agreement with the customer, it is possible to produce pipes of other lengths. The minimum and maximum values are not limited, but common sense suggests that sections over 12 meters long are extremely inconvenient to transport by any existing transport.

The diameters of plastic sewer pipes and the thickness of their walls can take on the following values:

PVC

With polyvinyl chloride, the situation is rather comical.

As a regulatory document regulating production, sellers indicate:

  1. GOST 1898-2001, no signs of which could be found in the public domain. No, the author does not claim that this standard does not exist; but there is not a single certificate of conformity on the websites of manufacturers and dealers either.
  2. GOST R 51613-2000 relating to pressure pipes. Of course, nothing prevents the use of a pressure pipe with a socket connection for free-flow sewage; however, a product produced according to this standard will obviously be more expensive: greater strength means greater wall thickness.

  1. In addition, departmental building codes VSN 48-96 give the dimensions of plastic sewer pipes for internal engineering networks of residential and public buildings. Fortunately, at least this document mentions real, genuine PVC-U free-flow socket pipes.

Let's study the documents.

GOST R 51613-2000

  • Pipes are produced in straight lengths from 4 to 12 meters with a multiplicity of 0.25 m (4.0, 4.25, 4.50 and so on).
  • The wall thickness varies from 1.5 to 23.2 mm.
  • The diameter can take values from 10 to 315 mm. The values of 50, 90, 110, 150 and 200 mm are present, which indicates the compatibility of pipes with fittings for.

VSN 48-96

When studying this document, another surprise awaits us. It, among other things, contains a procurement instruction recommending the products of a very specific manufacturer - OAO NPO Plastic. The list of sizes does not describe the requirements for manufactured products, but .... range of items to be purchased.

Well, that's bread.

We present this information in full, without cuts:

  • Pipe and nozzle lengths are 345, 360, 370, 410, 450, 457, 465, 515, 535, 870, 970, 1125, 1215, 1255, 1315, 1500, 2000, 2485, 2605, 2620, 2650, and 5400 mm. Judging by the size we are talking about ordering for several very specific house projects.
  • The diameter of plastic pipes used for sewerage is quite traditional for internal networks - 50, 90 and 110 millimeters.

Meanwhile in the real world

Dear reader, are you confused? Let me free you from the captivity of illusions and introduce you to the real range of a couple of companies specializing in the production of sewage.

Here is the range of products manufactured by the enterprises of the Aquamaster group from non-plasticized polyvinyl chloride.

Diameter, mm Wall thickness, mm
Lungs Medium Heavy
110 3,2
160 3,2 4,0 4,7
200 3,9 4,9 5,9
250 4,9 6,2 7,3
315 6,2 7,7 9,2
400 7,9 9,8 11,7
500 9,8 12,3 14,6

Here is the list of diameters polyethylene pipes Korsis Plus, used in the construction of sewer collectors:

  • 1200,
  • 1400,
  • 1600,
  • 2000,
  • 2200,
  • 2600 mm.

It is curious: the structure of these pipes is very different from what we are used to. Suffice it to say that they are two-layer, with a corrugated outer and smooth inner layers.

Areas of use

Finally, let's find out where sewers of various diameters are used.

Diameter 50 mm used to connect all plumbing fixtures except the toilet. In addition, in the houses of some projects, kitchen sewer risers were mounted with this diameter.

90 mm are used when connecting some types of toilet bowls (primarily flush-mounted).

110 mm- the most popular standard size: from connecting a toilet bowl to laying risers and even beds that combine several risers.

150 - 200 mm are used when laying outlets on a well in apartment buildings.

250 - 600 mm- pipes connecting the wells of the yard sewerage.

600 and above- collectors that collect wastewater from entire areas.

Conclusion

We hope that our digression into the dark secrets of the current regulatory documents and their complex relationship with real production will be useful to the reader. As usual, you can find more information in the video in this article.
