Do-it-yourself flowers from plastic bottles - a step-by-step master class for beginners

Some models are so magically beautiful that it seems that they cannot be repeated! But in fact, everything is very simple. And I will show you a simple circuit these original colors.

Cut off the bottom of three two-liter bottles. We cut out volumetric parts from the bottom that are curved outwards (they are around the legs).

The shape of the parts should be like a droplet.

At the "droplet" we round the corners. And we make an incision in the middle of the top line, so we get the shape of a heart. This is the rose petal!

We process all the edges of the petal over the fire of a candle. They are bent and a more believable shape is obtained, like a rose. We bring it not to the top of the flame, but to the bottom, where the temperature is lower.

We take one of the petals. Fold it in half. And then we bend each side to the middle line - we get a tube, the basis for the bud.

Glue a petal to this blank.

And so we glue the middle with petals on three sides. We glue them with "backs", sides that are curved.

Glue the next row of petals on the reverse side.

And the last row is again glued with the backs. So we got the volume and splendor of the workpiece.

The edges of the petals can be slightly painted in any of the colors. So the rose will no longer be transparent. It will take shape and volume!

If you get neon-effect glue, apply it to the very edges of the flower so that it glows in the dark.

How to make flowers from plastic bottles with your own hands for the garden

I wanted to show you how to make a flower for a garden from leaves. This is a cross between calla and dieffenbachia: large leaves on thin stems. Looks very elegant and attractive.

Cut off the top and bottom of 2-3 green bottles. Cut the pipe in half. So we get the "canvas".

Cut the fabric into rectangles. Fold the rectangles in half lengthwise.

From each rectangle, cut out a leaf on a long stem.

Leaf and stem are approximately equal in length. The shape of the leaf is similar to a droplet or a heart.

3 more blanks should be narrow, no more than 1 cm wide. One of the blanks must be twisted with a tourniquet.

We paint all the blanks from the spray can to get a more saturated color. We begin to assemble the structure.

In the middle is a twisted blank and 2 thin leaves. Tie them tightly with green tape.

We place the leaves around this middle and tie them with a ribbon.

When all the sheets are tied around the middle, we bend them so that the design becomes more magnificent.

We place the craft in a pot with foam. We mask the top of the foam with a green cloth.

It remains only to find a place in this “flower” itself.

Cut off the bottom of another bottle. And we make exactly the same incisions-teeth in it.

We need the middle of the second bottle. We cut it along, we get a rectangle.

Color the first piece green. The other three are in red and orange. Assembling the flower design. We twist the rectangle into a tube. We pass it through the neck of the first part.

We glue the bottom of the second bottle to the bottom of this tube.

We glue the lower part with the bottom from the first bottle on top of the structure to the green part.

We glue the petals on both sides. When the glue dries, paint with a beautiful waterproof paint, you can acrylic. If you plan to keep the flower in the open air, then you need to cover it with 2-3 layers of varnish.

We fix the wire in the lid by bending it into a loop.

We twist the cap, glue 3 cotton swabs and a pom-pom in the middle of the flower.

Here's another beautiful flowers from shampoo bottles. Petals are cut out, the edges are processed over the candle, we bend the petals a little after heating to get a wave at the edge and in the middle along the petal.

Using hot glue, we collect a flower from 2 rows of petals - 4 large overlapped, inside a circle of 4 small overlapped glued ones.

It remains to glue the stamens. You can buy them, or you can make your own. To do this, put a drop of hot glue on the edge of the wire and dip it in sparkles. It can also be made from PVA, but it will take a long time to dry.

Instructions for creating a tulip

Let's make a whole bouquet of tulips. And plastic bottles will be the most suitable material for creativity for us! It is easy to cut out details from them, assemble structures and paint them in the desired color.

In a half-liter bottle, cut off the neck and bottom. Cut the tube lengthwise.

In the resulting rectangle, we make deep cuts, leaving 1.5-2 cm. we make incisions every 0.3-0.5 cm.

From the bottom we cut out 3 voluminous petals. We give them the shape of a droplet.

We heat the bases of each petal and glue them together.

Cut off a thin strip from the middle part (only another bottle). Fold it in half. This is the stem of a tulip.

Cut out 4 small leaves.

Glue the bud to the stem. And under the bud we place the leaves.

We color the flower. The bud is red. If necessary, then the stem and leaves in green.

We collect all the flower blanks and drag them with the fringe that we did at the very beginning.

Glue the neck to the bottom. It turns out a stable flowerpot. We insert our bouquet into the neck.

Very simple and incredibly beautiful! Tulips can be made in different colors. Fasten their petals at different angles so that it seems that some tulips are blooming.

Poppy from a plastic bottle with a candle

Poppy is a very delicate flower. But, if we cut it out of a bottle, it will stand for many years in our country house, decorating its landscape. And the fire of a candle will help to give the desired shape to the leaves and petals.

We cut out the details according to the patterns: flower, leaves, sepals. Cut out another round core. And we also need a thin long strip, on which we will make cuts along the entire length.

It is best to cut parts from cans that match the color scheme of our parts. If we did not find suitable colored bottles, then we will color them. Only this needs to be done after we heat up and assemble the parts into a single structure.

We heat the sepals and petals over the candle flame. So we give the desired shape to these details.

We wrap the wire with a long strip with a fringe, but not to the top. At the very top, where the flower will be, leave 2 cm of bare wire. To fix the plastic, do it over the candle.

We also make small cuts along the edges of the leaves. We shape the leaves by heating them over a candle.

We connect the leaves with the stem, heating the plastic over the fire.

We make a hole in the middle of the sepal and put it on the bare edge of the wire.

We plant a flower in the same way.

We cut the edges of the core with a fringe. We warm over the fire so that these edges “fluff”.

We put the core on the wire. We bend the edge of the wire, fixing the details.

Glue red and green circles on top of the wire.

It turns out very beautiful and, like a real poppy! You can choose the size of the flower yourself, from miniature to huge.

Another version of poppy from a bottle is simpler, but no less beautiful!

How to make DIY tulips from PET

Now I will show you how to make a bouquet of tulips that have blossomed. It turns out very original, I can’t even believe that it’s so simple! From only one blank, we will now make a bud!

Cut out a square.

From 4 parts we make cuts to the middle, leaving 0.5-1 cm each, no more!

The edges of the resulting 4 parts are rounded off.

We heat the blank over the candle, shaping the flower so that it looks like a tulip.

To do this, first we process the edges over the candle, then we hold the middle of the flower above the candle so that it gathers into a bud.

We connect a little petals, overlapping one on top of the other and slightly warming over the fire.

We hold the middle inside the flower for a very short time over the fire so that it turns black.

Cut off a long strip 0.5 cm wide.

We heat it over the fire and wind it in a spiral.

Cut off one end in a wedge shape. We warm the sharp corner over the fire. So we make a stronger corner.

We make a hole in the middle of the flower blank. We put the wedge into the hole of the bud. We fix with glue.

We cut off the neck and part of its height in a two-liter bottle. We cut the height, until it narrows to the neck into 5 strips.

In each strip, we round the edges to get the shape of a leaf.

Over the fire, we shape each sheet, straightening and stretching them with our hands. Bouquet is ready.

We put flowers in it. We lower the workpiece into a pot. cement mortar we fasten the structure: pour it into a pot.

Such a bouquet is not afraid of rain, snow, or the scorching sun. It will last for many years in our garden.

Master class for beginners on creating a peony

In fact, a peony is very easy to make if you have templates for cutting. Yes, even without them, you can cut the workpiece into thin strips, 1.5-2 centimeters each, round the edges, as in petals, and design a peony with this detail.

We cut out blanks of different diameters according to 3 templates.

We give the petals of the blanks a shape over the fire of a candle.

We color the blanks.

We glue the blanks one into the other (according to the diameter). Glue the beads into the middle.

Here the flower is ready! If you want to plant it on a leg, then heat a thin strip from a plastic bottle over a fire (stretch the strip slightly). Get a stem. You can glue the cut out leaves to it. Color this blank green and connect with a flower.

Orchid from a plastic bottle - step by step instructions

Even such beautiful flowers as orchids are easy to make from such waste material like bottles! To do this, you can use multi-colored containers, or you can paint the craft after molding.

We cut out the details of flowers and leaves according to the templates.

If necessary, we paint certain parts.

We make a hole in the middle of all flower blanks.

We string them on a wire or a toothpick. But it is better to do this with a half of an ear stick, so that the thickened part with cotton wool is on the front of the flower. We fix everything with glue.

Glue the details for the buds onto the half of the ear stick.

We attach cotton swabs to the wire. We attach this wire to a large wire that serves as a stem. We place the flowers in order along the entire stem.

We wrap the large stem and small stems with teip tape.

We fix the cut sheets of the orchid with glue at the very bottom of the structure.

We plant the flower in a pot. We fix with stones, cement or other material.

Such a pot with an orchid will decorate the garden or it can be installed at the threshold of the house.

Video and how to make a lily, chamomile, bells, lotus, daffodils

Of course, the choice of crafts with different colors is huge. And all because plastic bottles are a great material. Here I made a small selection of videos for different colors. You can use different color scheme for crafts, choose different sizes and ways of fastening. For example, some flowers can be "planted" right around the garden, like a kind of fence. Arrange compositions from others. And the third to mask the walls of unattractive buildings. And at the same time, only flower buds without stems can be used.

I honestly admit that I used to be skeptical about crafts from a bottle, but after looking at these earrings, I changed my mind.

Many plants in the garden need strong and reliable supports. Such a hand-made support for climbing plants should serve for a long time and not spoil the type of plantings. Here's what homemade design the supports were invented by Igor Moskvichev from St. Petersburg.

“I selected well-dried bars and boards one and a half meters long for supports and sawed racks out of them. From the remnants, I also cut transverse strips with a section of 10 × 10 mm and a length of 400 mm. At the lower ends of the racks, I drilled holes with a pen drill with a diameter of 20 mm and a depth of 100 mm. To fasten the crossbars along the entire length of the rack, every 150 mm I made through holes with a diameter of 9-10 mm.

Then, from a reinforcing bar with a diameter of 14 mm, I cut legs 400 mm long for support racks. On the one hand, he sharpened them on a grinding wheel, and on the other, retreating by 150 mm, he welded a “step” from pieces of the same reinforcement 100 mm long. They serve to make it more convenient to drive the pins into the ground in the right place.

How to make a support for climbing plants with your own hands? Its collection began with the installation of a metal leg at the end of the rack. To do this, I filled the hole in the end half with epoxy glue, lowered the finished rod into it, aligned it along the axis and allowed the glue to harden. In my opinion, such a connection wooden rack supports with a metal base are the simplest and most reliable. Epoxy glue can be replaced with cement mortar.

Then, with a little effort, I inserted the transverse strips into the holes of the rack, additionally fixing them with drops of glue. Instead of wooden ones, metal crossbars made of thick steel wire can also be used in supports for climbing plants.

Or you can make a very simple and strong support in general, it will look good in a country-style garden and separate the vegetable garden from the rest of the garden.

And a few more options for your inspiration!

Support "Column"

Such structures can be placed on both sides of the porch of the house or garden bench.

The manufacturing technology can be extremely simple: stick long, even poles or rods into the ground in a circle and tie them with wire.

But to create a tall and durable column, you need to work a little:

- fix 4 metal rods in the foundation filled with cement;

- weld several rings of wire parallel to each other to them.

Or one long rigid wire in a spiral, fixed at the points of contact with the supports.

Supports "cone" or "wigwam"

These devices are convenient in the suburban area. They are made in the form of a cone or "wigwam". They are easy to manufacture. Need

- make markings on the ground in the form of a square;

- at the corners, press 4 long, relatively even sticks at an angle and tie them together over the center of the square;

- on the resulting frame, fasten small rods or branches crosswise, you can impose a mesh of soft wire or twine.

And although this design at first has a rough appearance, it looks very beautiful when entwined with plants. Suitable support for climbing plants, such as creepers.

Such a device can also be made from wooden slats, fastening them with nails. It will serve you for several years.

Support "Arch"

Arched supports always look festive and elegant. Although they have a complex design, they can also be made independently.

As a material, metal, wood, plastic, brick or stone are suitable.

The easiest and fastest way to assemble plastic pipes, which are deepened with ends into the ground, and fastened with wire on the sides and center.

But in the fall, it is subject to dismantling and storage in a barn or garage. Therefore, it is better to make an arch of metal. It is more durable and decorative. For its manufacture you will need:

- steel bar with a section of 10 × 10 mm;

- pipe with a diameter of 31-33 mm;

- welding machine

Cut 4 support posts from the pipe, weld arcs from the bar to them. For convenience, all welding work is carried out on the ground. Then the structure is lifted, leveled and the support posts are concreted into the ground. It remains only to paint.

Support "Pergola"

This is a new and somewhat exotic device.

Translated from Italian, it means "canopy" or "extension".

The pergola has served as a support for vines since ancient times, and is now also used for decoration.

Support for climbing plants is best made of wood.

To do this, you will need 8-10 wooden beams 50 × 100 mm in size, 4 beams for 100 × 100 mm pillars and concrete mortar. The work process must be started:

- from the marking of the site in the form of a square with a side of 2000 mm;
- dig holes in the corners about 60 cm deep;
- install the support bars in the holes, level and pour concrete;

- cut grooves in the beams with a width of 35 and a depth of 50 mm;
- cut the beams along the edges at an angle of 45 degrees for decoration;
- after the concrete has hardened, fix two beams on the supports, lay the rest on them.

We all have a weakness for flowers. Men give "a million scarlet roses" to the beautiful half of humanity, confirming their feelings. Children make gifts to mothers and grandmothers on the eighth of March. For many women, this is not enough, and they create artificial crafts, armed with paints, scissors, and glue.

All of these examples are fairly easy to implement.

Thus, a huge number of the most amazing plastic bottle crafts appeared. We want our flowers to please those around us constantly and regardless of the weather, soil, watering and lighting of the garden and vegetable garden. This means that we will consider crafts that best meet the following requirements:

  • easy to manufacture;
  • do not require coloring, in any case, complex;
  • harmoniously fit into the surrounding landscape.

Ordinary bottles easily turn into fabulous beauty

Throughout the article, descriptions of master classes of the most successful flower crafts for the garden follow. After studying these examples, you can make any flowers for the garden with your own hands.

Simple and touching flowers from plastic bottles without coloring

Of course, first of all, I want to make daisies for a flower bed. They can be made from parts or whole white bottles. A yellow lid or a bottom from a brown container is suitable as a core. Plant leaves can be made from green containers. Stems can be wire, pipe, rebar or wood. The latter should be painted green.

Consider making chamomile from three white bottles step by step:

Lilies of the valley from white bottles for summer cottages also turn out great. Depending on the availability of containers, the upper or lower parts of the bottles are used. Lily of the valley petals can be made round, sharp, and also bent. Depending on the material and diameter of the stem, the buds are fixed with screws or wire. It is convenient to make lily of the valley foliage from a five-liter eggplant, lowered neck down. Leaves will need to be painted.

Dandelions are made in different ways. White dandelions can be crafted from bottles of the same color. To do this, it is convenient to use the upper parts of the container, cut out in the form of sharp petals. Each part is attached to a wire of the same length to a common center. It turns out a light white ball.

A group of transparent bottles can be fixed to a common center. Get a big dandelion. If you create a spatial structure with several centers, you can make a huge dandelion.

Colored dandelions made from containers of the corresponding color look very interesting. Consider step by step instructions making brown handsome:

We make charming buds with a magic candle

Candle flame does wonders for plastic bottles. See examples in the photo below. Together we will make just one flower, and you can repeat any other with your own hands.

Master class for making a flower using a candle:

  1. We prepare seven fragments from one container, as in the photo below. The largest has dimensions of 8x8cm, the smallest - 3.5x3.5cm. We make holes in the center of the parts.
  2. We melt the edges of the parts with a candle flame. We hold the part to the side of the flame. Sooty areas are easy to clean. Do not ignite plastic.

  3. For the stem of the craft, we will prepare the copper wire in isolation. The end of the wire must be stripped and bent by 5-10mm.
  4. To cover the stem, we cut out a ribbon 7-12 mm wide from a green container.

  5. We insert the end of the tape into the bend of the wire. We wrap the ribbon around the stem and melt it on a candle flame.
  6. It turned out a green stem of a flower. The end of the wire is stripped of insulation by 20mm.
  7. We prepare a template for making foliage from paper in accordance with the pattern.
  8. Another template will be required for the leaves next to the bud.

  9. We cut out the foliage for the cutting according to the template.
  10. We make leaves under the bud according to the template.
  11. We melt the edges of the leaves under the bud. Look at the photo to see how it turned out.
  12. We melt the leaves for the cutting along the edges, and twist the plastic strips connecting them over the flame.

  13. You should get a branch, as in the picture.
  14. With the help of a flame, we wrap the base of the twig around the stem. We put leaves under the bud on the protruding part of the wire.
  15. First, we put on the wire the largest fragment of the bud petals.

  16. Consistently put on the petals of the bud as their size decreases. We try to expand the petals so that they overlap the gaps between them. We bend the end of the wire with pliers so that the petals do not fall off. The flower is ready!

We make flowers for flower beds, ponds and fence decorations; use paints and large bottles

Flowers from plastic bottles for the pond - very relevant. In the simplest case, you can make a water lily from the bottom of a white bottle, as shown below. The core of the flower is easy to imitate with a yellow cork.

We will consider a master class for making a more complex flower for a pond:

A bright sunflower will serve as a worthy decoration for both flower beds and gardens. As you can see, it can be made in different ways. Sunflower petals made from containers look good Brown. A disposable plate can serve as the core.

The easiest way is to use a 5 liter plastic bottle. A blank is cut out of it, as shown below. Petals will have to be painted yellow.

After painting, you need to wrap the cap on the neck. It is convenient to make the core of a sunflower from the bottom of a brown bottle and screw it to the cap on the neck of the sunflower with a self-tapping screw.

Large flowers are quite appropriate on their own site.

Giant plants are made from large plastic eggplants. The red flowers pictured below are made exactly the same way we made the daisy.

For each plant, three 5-liter containers are needed. The core of a flower is the lower part of an ordinary plastic bottle. The design of the bees is obvious.

Petals of a huge yellow flower made from just one large bottle. As a core, a regular brown container was used. Its lower part is cut into strips 1 cm wide, which are painted.

It is easy to decorate the fence with plastic flowers. We already know how to make all these flowers. As you can see, the use of paint complicates the work and expands the possibilities. Please note that even the old fence, decorated with bright flowers, is getting a little younger.

It is convenient to make flowerpots from plastic bottles: they do not rot and do not break! The given examples of flowerpots are simple in execution and suitable for various conditions. Flowerpots from plastic bottles can be placed on the ground, on a fence or wall of a building.

Climbing plants create their own atmosphere in the garden, with them the site looks different - brighter, more colorful, more comfortable. It becomes more places for recreation, secluded corners formed by a living green wall. And if this wall is also in flowers - good mood you are provided, as the energy of flowering plants is very positive. Supports for climbing plants are various devices for the manifestation of their decorative qualities, providing plants with correct height and development.

Supports can be either created with your own hands or purchased from manufacturers - many companies produce pergolas, arches, trellises specifically for climbing plants. At one time, they were not given due attention, hops and girlish grapes were found in the yards, but climbing plants do not deserve oblivion, and today the fashion for creepers and bindweeds has returned again, and with them our gardens have become much more beautiful and comfortable.

The simplest and most budget options for supports

Consider the option of building the simplest support for a climbing plant in the shape of a cone. You will need 4-6 strong long sticks, wire or twine and smaller sticks to create a lattice. On the ground we make markings - a square, in the corners - recesses for sticks, fix them in the soil, add the rest, connect the tops and tie them. Then we fix it crosswise on large small sticks. Support is ready.

It can be used in the garden for pumpkins, cucumbers, grapes, and it can also be used for flowering plants - sweet pea, purple morning glory, kobe, honeysuckle, ampelous gloxinia, etc. such a support is small in size, it is better to use it for climbing annuals - they are more miniature.

It is very easy to build such a simple support, you don’t have to spend money on materials, you can make them as much as you need. The site will look more attractive, and you will ensure the plants grow properly.

Ready-made forged supports of various shapes can be purchased for miniature climbing annuals. Ipomoea, ornamental beans, ivy are ideal for them

There are also such ready-made supports for ampelous and climbing annuals, this is an interesting alternative to planters and hanging pots

Construction #2 - chain-link mesh support

For weaving plants, a chain-link mesh with large sections will be an excellent support. You can simply buy one and a half to two meters of canvas and stretch it between two wooden or iron poles. Buy a galvanized chain-link, or, even better, plasticized - it does not rust, it looks aesthetically pleasing. We treat wooden poles with a protective agent, paint metal poles, stretch the mesh, fix it with wire or special hooks - and the support is ready. Over time, the plants will curl it up so that the mesh almost completely disappears from view, and you get a living green wall that you can place a bench or hammock against.

Support for climbing roses made of chain-link mesh with decorative wooden poles. Carved pillars give such a support an aesthetic look, and when the roses grow up, it will become a wonderful element for decorating the garden.

Chain-link fences, in addition to the protective function, are a good support for climbing plants, especially quickly the net will hide girlish grapes or hops from view, which grow quickly and grow well.

Pergolas, arches and trellises as supporting structures

Light lattices with a pattern in the form of a rhombus or square, made of wood, metal or plastic, have appeared with us relatively recently. These are pergolas designed specifically for garden decoration and as supports for climbing plants.

Classical pergola - supporting pillars and a roof in the form of a lattice. Wisteria is used as an ornamental climbing plant, resulting in a gallery for walks of amazing beauty.

Pergolas are usually combined with such garden decorative elements as an arch, an arbor, a bench. If the bench and pergola form a single structure, then in company with a climbing plant, for example, a campsis, a very picturesque corner is obtained. The classic pergola is a construction of uprights with a roof of transverse bars in the form of a lattice. Any vines and climbing plants can grow on the roof. This design looks especially beautiful with girlish grapes, when its leaves turn red in autumn, with wisteria.

Very often, the pergola and the arched structure are used as a whole - this is one of the most beautiful decorative elements, both on its own and in combination with plants. A double arch with a lattice on top can be placed above a gate, a bench, use arches instead of supporting pillars in a row and create a beautiful gallery. It will look very beautiful with climbing roses.

Forging on the site always looks great, you can order various original pergola arches for the garden and use them as a support for roses, grapes, honeysuckle

Climbing rose arches have already become classics - today they are widely used for wedding ceremonies and other celebrations, and such an arch or several on the site will create a festive atmosphere in which you will stay every day

One of the small forms used to decorate the garden is a trellis. Tapestries were widely used even in Russian noble estates, they came to us from Europe, where they were used to decorate gardens by both simple peasants and noblemen. Initially, this concept meant a dense planting in a row of low-growing shrubs or trees that form a green vertical wall. Today, a tapestry is also a support in the form of a metal or wooden lattice; a grid stretched between the pillars is also called a tapestry.

Unlike a pergola, a trellis can be an independent support - it can be leaned against the wall of the building, fixed in the right place in the garden. The design can be both light and massive, in a strong frame. You can use both single trellises and a group, creating screens of climbing plants in the garden. , like indoor screens, can be used for zoning the territory.

Such a fence in the form of a trellis hedge is an ornament in itself. The sun penetrates through it, climbing roses look picturesque against the background of a wooden lattice

Variants of garden trellis with a box for plants. It is most convenient to make them out of wood, in the first case you get an interesting arch in the center, in the second - a green wall

Such a trellis is very easy to make from a thin beam, paint - and you will have the opportunity to accentuate a separate area of the garden by choosing the appropriate plants.

To transform the garden today, there is a considerable selection of various interesting devices, choose, experiment, and create your masterpieces in landscape design.

Waste disposal is one of the most acute problems facing the owners of suburban areas, especially since most suburban communities, in principle, are not equipped with garbage containers. Undoubtedly, paper and part of household garbage can be burned, and organics can be buried in the beds or sent straight to compost pit. But what to do with the well-known plastic bottles, which are strictly forbidden to be burned in a stove or fireplace, and it is useless to bury, since it will take more than one hundred years to decompose plastic? There is only one way out - to use it for good. How to use plastic bottles on the farm will be discussed in this publication.

The use of PET containers at their summer cottage

What is a plastic container? This is, first of all, polymer material and ready containers. At this angle, any summer resident with a creative vision and straight arms can make a lot of useful household appliances out of an ordinary PET bottle, create elements of garden decor and turn empty containers into necessary things.

The main advantage of plastic containers is the lack of cost. In addition, PET is light, flexible, resistant to weathering and UV radiation, and can be processed perfectly. A plastic bottle filled with water can withstand enormous external pressure and can act as a heat accumulator. And most importantly: in any variation, all plastic containers have a threaded section and a lid. And this is very important for any master to do, which will help fasten products, if the need arises. Consider several options for using plastic containers in the garden.

Plastic bottles for watering the garden

The first thing you can use ready-made PET containers for is for irrigation. Irrigation of the site is generally a sore point for most summer residents, especially for those who receive water on a schedule or visit a suburban area exclusively on weekends. In such a situation, useless plastic bottles will help, which will help to create for the entire site without any financial costs. Consider three easy-to-implement options for creating a drip irrigation system based on plastic bottles of various capacities.

Simple Root Irrigation System

In order to dosed and automatically water the plants, you will need:

  • PET containers with a volume of 2 liters, one bottle - one plant.
  • foam rubber (any trim).

Pour 4/5 of the water into each container. Insert a piece of foam rubber into the neck instead of a cork. Place the bottle under the plant so that the neck is in close proximity to the root of the plant. As you empty, just add water to the containers.

Drip irrigation

For this irrigation system, the size and shape of the containers does not matter. According to summer residents: the more - the better. Bottles need to cut off the bottom. Make 3-5 holes in the cork with a hot awl or thin drill, 1-2 mm in diameter. Screw the cork tightly onto the neck.

Dig such a container vertically (neck down) near each plant and fill it with water. Such a stationary root irrigation system requires only timely filling with water.

Suspended irrigation system

In this option, whole bottles should be used, with a capacity of 2 to 5 liters. depending on the reliability of the fastening system. As in creating drip system, make several holes in the cork, with a diameter of 1 mm.

Now you need to build a support. At different ends of the beds, horns should be dug in, on top of which put a jumper (rail, beam). Hang the filled containers upside down from the top bar.

To prevent water from eroding the earth, the place where drops of water fall should be mulched.

The advantages of an irrigation system from plastic bottles are undeniable:

  • the soil is moistened directly in the root zone of the plant;
  • irrigation is done with sun-warmed water;
  • the possibility of adding fertilizers directly to the water;
  • application variability.

But the most important advantage of such watering is that it does not require the presence of a person.

Agricultural technology using PET bottles

Any container can be used to grow greens. The main thing is to ensure timely watering and avoid stagnation of water in the lower part of the tank. This can be done by creating from plastic bottles, which will not take up much space, but will decorate your fence, balcony railing, house wall.

Vertical garden with horizontal bottles

For such a building you will need:

  • PET bottles, capacity 2-5l;
  • soft wire.

1/3 of the side of the bottle is cut out. The cork is screwed onto the neck. On the opposite side of the cutout, an awl (nail, drill) makes a mass of drainage holes.

The bottles are filled with a substrate, inside of which the seedlings or seeds of the plant are located. soft wire an impromptu pot is mounted on a vertical surface. Mounting of the remaining containers can be done under each other or in a checkerboard pattern.

Garden from vertically installed PET containers

This design is more complicated than the previous one, but much more efficient and is relatively autonomous. So, to create such a design, you will need:

  • PET bottles, volume 1-3 l.
  • rubber or silicone hose ½ inch.
  • line segment sewer pipe with plugs, diameter - at the discretion of the owner.

The bottles are cut approximately in half. The upper part will go to create a vertical garden, the lower one will be used to create decorations, which will be discussed below. The tops of the bottles are attached one below the other with the neck down. A hose with holes for irrigation is laid through each vertical row. Free space is filled with earth or substrate. The upper part of the hoses is fixed in the ebb with the help of necks and corks from plastic bottles.

Water is supplied to the system from the water supply, and the sewer pipe section will play the role of a liquid supply capacity. This design allows rational use of water for drip irrigation. A vertical garden made of plastic bottles will not require any space or large financial costs from the summer resident. You can always make such a design from waste containers that is best suited directly to your dacha.

In the section of agrotechnical crafts, only options for creating a vertical garden were considered. In fact, there are dozens more ways to use TET containers for agricultural purposes. From plastic bottles you can make light, plastic and durable containers that are widely used as pots, containers for seedlings.

PET bottles for decorating a summer cottage

Thanks to its properties, plastic containers have long been successfully used by our summer residents to create garden decor. Next, consider a few examples of the successful use of plastic bottles of various sizes in garden decoration.

Fencing beds and flower beds

Most simple design fences made of plastic containers - palisade. In order to make a solid fence of this design, you will need a mass of bottles of the same volume and shape filled with earth (sand, clay)

Now it's up to the small: we assemble the structure. We dig each container halfway into the ground, creating a “bottle palisade”. After erection. You can leave it as it is, or you can paint the resulting border in any color of the rainbow.

You can go in a simpler way: do not dig in the elements of the palisade, but fasten them together with adhesive tape.

The design is simply placed on the grass outlining the boundaries of a flower bed or garden bed.

garden path

For creating garden path you will need bottoms from PET bottles with a capacity of 2 liters.

  • the soil is levelled.
  • covered with a layer wet sand, layer thickness 70-100 mm.

The bottoms are laid out on the future track and carefully driven into the sand until completely filled. The joints between the bottoms are covered with dry sand, and for better fixation - with a sand-cement mortar.

Flowers from PET bottles

It is enough to simply decorate a summer cottage with the help of "plantations" of plastic flowers.

Making such a composition is extremely simple: you just need to wake up your imagination, pick up a knife, a few plastic bottles and a coil of thick wire.

From the tapering part of the bottle, you can create beautiful flowers that will be used to create bouquets, decorate crafts for the home and garden.

Cut the neck lengthwise, forming six petals. Round each with scissors. We melt the edges of the petals over an open flame to give them volume. Inner part flower can be cut out of plastic of a different color. We glue (sew) the structure with polymer glue or thin wire.

Animal figurines for garden decoration

The Internet is full of photos of funny animals made from plastic bottles. If you decide to decorate your garden with funny animals from PET containers, then the simplest option is funny pigs and bunnies.

Bunny is easy to do:

  • in the tapering part, two cuts are made under the "ears";
  • the ears themselves are cut from a plastic bottle.

The structure is assembled with glue.

Pigs are made in the same way, but only in a horizontal version. The main thing is to color your creation correctly and make it recognizable.

Household supplies from plastic bottles

What can be useful in the household for a domestic summer resident-gardener? Brooms, dustpans, pest traps, washbasins, various containers for storing small items. But a simple rope is recognized by most summer residents as one of the most functional and useful materials in the household.

PET bottle rope

A rope from a plastic bottle will help out in an unforeseen situation and will become an indispensable assistant to a summer resident. How to make a strong rope from a plastic bottle with your own hands? To create a tape from a PET bottle (on an industrial scale), you will need to make the simplest machine, consisting of:

  • blades from a clerical knife;
  • 4-8 metal washers with an outer diameter of 25-30 mm and a thickness of 2 mm;
  • 2 bolts with nuts, diameter 4-6 mm, length 40-50 mm;
  • board (piece of plywood, chipboard), 16-25 mm thick.

We assemble the structure. We drill through holes in the board for the bolts. Pucks will be put on them. The distance between the bolts must be such that between the washers there is a distance equal to half the diameter of the washer. Now install the washers on the bolts. The height of the "pyramid" from the stand will correspond to the width of the tape. We put the blade on the upper washer, cover it with a washer, fix it with nuts.

To get the tape, cut off the bottom of the bottle (it is useful for making garden decor), push the edge of the bottle between the blade and stand.

There are a lot of options for using rope from plastic bottles. A strong and lightweight tape is used by domestic gardeners for tying vegetables, trees, creating supports for climbing plants, weaving furniture, braiding garden tool handles, etc. A feature of such a tape is shrinkage when exposed to high temperature. When heated, the PET tape knot self-tightens!

garden broom

By their own performance characteristics, a broom made of plastic bottles is not inferior to purchased analogues. For self-creation such a useful product in the household will require:

  • 7 PET bottles, 2 l;
  • stalk from a shovel;
  • wire;
  • two screws (nails);
  • awl, scissors, knife.

For six bottles, cut off the necks and bottom. Cut the strips on each blank with scissors, not reaching the top edge of 5-6 cm. The width of the strip is 0.5 cm. Cut off the bottom from the intact container (do not touch the neck!). Next, repeat the operation similar to the previous blanks.

We assemble the structure. We put the rest of the blanks on a bottle with a neck. We compress the resulting product from the sides and fix the position of the blanks with wire. It remains only to plant and fix the holder.

The plastic bottle broom is ready to use. The whole process is shown in detail in the figure.

Scoop from plastic containers

This product will be a great addition to a broom made of PET containers. Everything is simple here: take a plastic container and mark the shape of the future scoop with a marker.

Cut strictly along the line using a clerical knife. Such a scoop from a plastic canister will last a long time.

The simplest washstand

To make the simplest from a plastic bottle, you need to cut off the bottom of the container, turn it upside down, make holes for attaching to a vertical surface.

You can wash your hands by unscrewing the cork a little so that water flows through a loose connection.

Containers for storing small items

Any owner of a summer residence has a lot of little things in the household. One problem - they must all be sorted and available as needed. To store small things, you can easily make containers from plastic containers. Any one that is at hand will do:

  1. We make a hole in the upper side part, the size of which should make it easy to get items out of the container.
  2. We drill a hole in the cover and screw in a bolt with a diameter of 2 mm.
  3. Place a washer under the head of the bolt.
  4. On the reverse side, fix with a nut.

We assemble the structure. We run the ends of the wire section under the washer and form a loop. We screw the lid with a loop onto the container. Now it can be easily placed on a vertical surface. An ordinary nail can act as an element for hanging the container on a vertical surface.

If you use plastic containers from household chemicals or machine oil, then you can assemble a whole chest of drawers for storing small things in a similar way.

insect trap

Mosquitoes and flies are the eternal "neighbors" of man, which is almost impossible to get rid of. Nevertheless, their population can be reduced by using well-known PET containers as a trap material.

We cut off the tapering part of the plastic bottle, turn it over and insert it into the remaining part with the neck down. Sugar syrup can be used as bait. If you add a little yeast to the composition, you can get rid of not only flies and ants, but also wild wasps.

A simple weather vane from a PET bottle will help to scare away birds from fresh crops, to drive out moles from the site.

The design is simple: we cut out and bend the side sections of the container in the form of blades. We put the resulting product on a thick wire or stick. The wind rotates the weather vane. A vibration is transmitted along the guide, which (according to experts) is very disliked by moles and birds are afraid.

Bird feeders

The simplest feeder on a personal plot will attract birds that will help the owner suburban area control pests and insects.

They are not difficult to make: it is enough to cut windows in the side of five-liter plastic bottles. The handle is useful for hanging the feeder on a branch.

Greenhouses from PET containers

, discussed above, can easily be done by any summer resident. But if you have experience in carpentry, then with the help of PET containers you can create an excellent greenhouse, without which it is impossible to grow an early harvest in our climatic zone.

Such structures have many advantages, of which the main one is low cost. PET is much stronger than polyethylene film and much cheaper than traditional polycarbonate. The construction of plastic bottles is warm and light. It can always be repaired by simply replacing the damaged element.

There are two technologies for the construction of greenhouses and arbors:

  1. From plates.
  2. from whole elements.

frame

Almost any material is suitable for its creation:

  • Metal profile - durable and strong, but expensive.
  • Wood is affordable and easy to process, but short-lived.
  • PVC pipes s - great option if you already have enough pipes and fittings that you don't have to buy.

In any case, if you decide to make a greenhouse from plastic bottles with your own hands, then make the frame from the material that is most accessible to you.

It should be understood: a metal frame will require the creation of a capital foundation, which significantly increases the cost of the project. The supporting structure made of PVC pipes does not need a foundation, but it needs to be strengthened to withstand gusts of wind.

Filling

As building material for enclosing structures, it is better to use the same PET bottles, with a capacity of 2 liters, from which the label must be removed.

For a greenhouse with dimensions of 1.5 by 2.5, from 400 to 600 PET elements may be required.

Construction technology

The greenhouse is assembled from elements that are collected from PET bottles. The bottom of each building element (bottle) is cut off. The elements are then stacked on top of each other, creating an impromptu "plastic log". To fasten this element, a cord or rail is pulled through the middle. The finished block is vertically fixed on the frame. The construction process continues until the frame is completely filled: in this way, the walls are recruited and the roof is blocked.

Buildings made from plastic bottles

More serious buildings can be built from PET containers than gazebos and greenhouses. Next, consider the method of erecting an outbuilding from plastic bottles, putting into practice the experience of Bolivian builders:

  1. A pit is being dug and a foundation is being built.
  2. We create a replacement for the brick, instead of which PET bottles of the same volume will be used. They are filled with sand, clay or earth, which is often left after digging a pit.
  3. The elements are tied together and stacked in rows. For a bunch of rows, a sand-cement mortar is used.
  4. A reinforcing mesh is laid between the rows.

After laying, only the necks of building elements remain without mortar. For additional fastening, builders recommend tying the necks together, creating a kind of plaster mesh. Now it remains only to carefully plaster the walls, hiding the material that was used for construction.

This technology can be used for the construction of capital buildings: fences, garages and one-story residential buildings, which, (according to the masters), are quite warm and strong.

In this publication, answers were given to the question of how plastic bottles can be used on the farm. In fact, a new application for this material is found every day, which cannot but please any normal person, because plastic is practically not recycled due to low profitability. Giving a "second life" to PET containers, we cleanse the planet of garbage, which is simply buried in landfills or disposed of in incinerators, poisoning the environment.
