Medicinal herbs for menstrual irregularities. Treatment of menstrual disorders with herbs. What plant hormones are good for women

Violation of menstruation can be caused by many reasons, among which there are both completely physiological conditions and certain diseases. If gynecological diseases and pregnancy are excluded, and the next cycle does not begin, herbs that cause menstruation can help.

Most of these herbs work gently without disturbing the hormonal balance in the body. They simply help the natural process to start a little earlier without causing harm. But if you have to resort to them quite often, then you need to visit a doctor to exclude possible pathological processes in the body.

Why does the menstrual cycle fail?

Normally, menstruation begins after a certain period of time, that is, cyclically. For each woman, the duration of this cycle is an individual indicator. The period from the first day of menstrual bleeding to the next onset is called the menstrual cycle. On average, it is 21-32 days (within the normal range), but deviations of a couple of days are possible and should not cause concern. If a woman notes a systematically irregular cycle and long delays, then before using any treatment methods, it is necessary to find out the cause of this disorder. Most often, interruptions in the menstrual cycle can be caused by such factors:

  • hormonal disorders due to gynecological diseases;
  • chronic stress and psycho-emotional instability;
  • sharp weight loss;
  • pathology of the thyroid gland and pituitary gland;
  • a sharp change in living conditions (climate, time zone);
  • infectious diseases;
  • side effects from taking certain medications.

Normal conditions in which menstruation does not occur, of course, are pregnancy and menopause. If the woman's age is far from average and menopause is impossible, and pregnancy is not detected, then it is precisely the disturbed work that takes place. menstrual cycle.

Taking hormonal drugs to approach menstruation in some cases gives quick effect, but this is not as harmless as inducing menstruation with folk remedies. Pills often cause disruptions in the hormonal background, a woman has to correct the balance of hormones in the body with medication, which does not go unnoticed for the body. Therefore, the use of herbs to correct the cycle is more physiological, it is easier to tolerate.

Chamomile to restore normal periods

Many recipes related to the normalization of the period of menstruation include chamomile in their composition. It perfectly replaces drugs, because it contains phytosterol - a plant analogue of synthetic hormones. Thanks to the action of phytosterol, chamomile can improve the cycle and stimulate uterine contractions.

Before using chamomile and other medicinal herbs to stimulate the onset of menstruation, you need to make sure that there is no pregnancy and serious gynecological diseases, so as not to harm the body.

Chamomile can be brewed neat and drunk like a hot herbal tea. To do this, pour 5 g of dried chamomile into 100 ml of boiling water and leave for 15 minutes. After straining, drink the entire prepared portion. It is necessary to use the remedy three times a day.

To approach menstruation, you can make an herbal mixture consisting of 60 g of chamomile, 45 g and 45 g. All components should be taken in dried form and poured over 200 ml of boiling water. In the process of cooling, the mixture is insisted, after which the drink is ready for use. You need to drink the remedy twice a day, 100 ml 30 minutes before breakfast and dinner.

Chamomile helps not only to induce menstruation, it also has a therapeutic effect on scanty and painful discharge, pronounced premenstrual syndrome. In this case, mix 5 g of chamomile with an equal amount of motherwort, add to this mixture 2.5 g of dry yarrow herb and 7.5 g of dried medicinal marigold flowers. Herbs pour 250 ml of boiling water and let it brew for 15 minutes. After the infusion has cooled, strain it and take 0.5 cup three times a day 30 minutes before meals.

Other herbs used for menstrual disorders

In addition to chamomile, other herbal remedies are also used to treat irregular periods. Recipes based on such plants will help to successfully cause a prolonged onset of menstruation:

How to achieve the opposite effect?

Sometimes it becomes in front of the girls topical issue, not how to cause menstruation with folk remedies, but how to slightly delay their onset. This may be due to a lot of reasons dictated by the modern pace of life. Of course, this should not be done systematically, so as not to disrupt the normal functioning of the body, but if we are talking about some important one-time event, then herbs can help in this without causing harm.

You can prepare a decoction of dried. Take 5 tbsp. l. of this plant and pour them with two glasses of boiling water. Soak this remedy in a water bath for half an hour. You need to drink a decoction for several days before the expected menstruation in small portions, regardless of food.

Honey and lemon also have a positive effect on delaying menstruation. To do this, you need to regularly eat these foods in large quantities a week before the day the cycle begins. Lemons can be eaten up to 1 whole fruit per day, and honey can be added to taste. The effect of lemons is explained by the presence of vitamin C in them, which strengthens the vascular wall, thereby slightly restraining the onset of menstrual bleeding.

A decoction of water pepper will also help slow down the onset of menstruation. For its preparation 3.5 tbsp. l. herbs pour 0.5 liters of boiling water and soak in a water bath for at least 3 hours. After cooling, strain the solution and drink 150 ml before meals twice a day. Such therapy should be started a few days before the expected start of the cycle.

Folk remedies for correcting the menstrual cycle are often very effective and, with rare use, do not cause significant harm to the body. But before using them, you must make sure that the failure in the cycle is not caused by illness or pregnancy. If the cycle is not established and the situation repeats often, then a mandatory consultation with a doctor is necessary to diagnose and identify the causes of these disorders.

The main sign of a normal menstrual cycle is regular menstruation - spotting from the genital tract. They occur every 21-35 days and go within 3-7 days.

Menstrual irregularities- this is not a disease, but just a sign that some kind of malfunction has occurred in the work of the internal genital organs. The origins of cycle disorders are usually defects in the hormonal system. Moreover, it is not at all necessary that these defects relate specifically to sex hormones. The culprits could easily be thyroid, adrenal, and even pituitary (an important part of the brain) hormones.

Sometimes very serious diseases can be behind a slight violation of the menstrual cycle: ectopic pregnancy, benign and malignant tumors of the ovaries or uterus, tuberculosis, brain tumors.

Noticing that menstruation suddenly became not the same as usual, a woman should immediately go to an appointment with a gynecologist. The sooner the cause of menstrual irregularities is found out, the better. Any folk remedies It is permissible to use only with the permission of a doctor.

In the arsenal, the beautiful half of humanity must certainly have herbal remedies, which she must be able to use from the earliest years. Scientifically, the plant is called common loosestrife, and among the people it is known as meadow rannik, yellow color or zavalny grass. This is perennial has a thin recumbent stem up to 30 cm long and opposite rounded oval leaves dotted with small dark dotted glands. The fruits are five-celled capsules that have the ability to throw out seeds with force. Most often, oxalis can be found in coniferous and shady deciduous forests, where it forms carpet thickets near forest streams and reservoirs.

The sour taste, reminiscent of lemon (hence the name), is due to the presence of ascorbic acid in the plant. Enzymes and calcium oxalate have also been found. But while the plant does not reveal its secrets to biochemists, its chemical composition requires more detailed study.

Often, the deterioration of a woman's condition is associated with hormonal cycles, as well as with nervous disorders, which are often "companions" of premenstrual or menopausal syndromes. In these cases, it is useful to undergo a course of treatment with medicinal teas (there are a lot of recipes), but it must be remembered that the course of treatment will take a fairly long period.

Many women already 7-12 days before the start of the next monthly cycle complain of bouts of depression, emotional irritability, and decreased performance. Often, ailments are expressed not only in increased fatigue and weakness, but also manifest themselves in swelling of the arms and legs, tension in the mammary glands, pulling pains in the lower abdomen, pressure in the hips and pelvis. Collectively, all of these symptoms are called "premenstrual syndrome" (PMS), or « premenstrual tension syndrome. Of course, there are lucky women who are almost not affected by such ailments, and they endure this period with minimal discomfort. However, the percentage of women suffering from premenstrual syndrome is quite large, in addition, the reproductive cycle lasts up to 40 years or more, so official medicine eventually paid attention to premenstrual problems. They are caused by various reasons: hereditary characteristics, size and location of the uterus, inflammatory processes, hormonal factors, stress. The pains are different: from unpleasant heaviness in the lumbar region and lower abdomen to very intense cramping pains, similar to colic. Often they are accompanied by convulsions, nausea, headache and depression.

During these periods, you should, if possible, adhere to bed or semi-bed rest. It is useful in the evenings, while the process of menstruation continues, to drink a cup of hot strong tea with ginger and sugar (it is advisable to use Chinese dark sugar).
